Gosh.. they want to hate it so much but they obviously like it deep down. Is anyone else getting the whole "too cool for school" vibe from this adult?! Heh. I hate how people want to dislike something just because it's popular! Oh and they just really really want to call it a money grab even though most toys priced the same as Skylanders in stores these days don't have "brains" in them and look nowhere near the quality.

It was cool to see more screenshots though! Rattle Shake looks like fun.

My one issue though: What is with the Chompies' eyes?

It's not even out, yet. How can they review it?

Review websites like Destructoid, Kotaku, IGN, etc.. get early demo copies of games to review them. I think this guy just played 1 level or something.

That idiotic, foolish, near sighted, drunken, crazy, insane, mind blowing proportion of idiocy, blaspheming, game reviewer! His heart is a cold as ice, get some kids let them play it then let them review it. Some kids probably 10-13 so they know what there talking about...

Destructoid usually has really good reviews, for the record, but I do agree with you guys on this one. The other Skylanders reviews (done by other reviewers) were positive from what I remember.

And yeah that first comment, it's like... you really can't think of anything better to say?

I ALWAYS hear from my friends that "this is a stupid game for kids, that is made to steal your money".
Ok. Call me when you are able to make a series that sells this well.
Also, why don't they understand that EACH GAME is playable, even with ONE SINGLE TOY?! The other are... An optional. No one force me to buy them. I don't need them. I'd like to have them. It's really different. And it's not that different from the DLC concept of all those FPS out there.

Ahhh, I guess they are all jealous... And they don't accept that a 17 years old boy doesn't play PES or CoD...

This is the reviewer's sarcastic wit in action, I took no offense. Snarky, though. Not very meaningful in content...which probably matches the game he played.

^Correct, but it was full of sarcasm and wit. In all reality this wasn't a review. At least not what I expect in one.

And even if he was a dick about it (I don't think he was), his opinion doesn't effect me.

Whenever someone says something about how childish Skylanders (or video games, or anything else) is, I like to quote the great C. S. Lewis:

^THIS! Only because Skylanders is a game created for kids, it doesn't mean that a teenager, or an adult can't play it. Come on, my cousin (8) plays CoD, AND Skylanders! And he like them both!

Nope. Opinions are opinions. I still prefer the original design, but there is no doubt that the new one fits better with the Skylander concept.

Yeah, I always thought that Spyro looked less like a dragon and more like a goofy and slightly confused pony. But you know, people get attached to stuff they grew up with - kids today probably think it's silly that Megatron shrinks down into a gun small enough for another transformer to hold... but that's how it was when I was a kid, so that's how it should stay, dagnabit!

The issue is that these people complain that "Activision killed Spyro" or whatever, but the problem arises from you. If you complain that Activision killed Spyro, but haven't played a Spyro game since the original trilogy (I know people who have done this) then you are the problem. You gave up on the series and didn't support it anymore.

ETD (on the GC) and AHT aren't terrible games at all, and yet people stopped supporting the franchise, so they moved onto TLoS. TLoS wasn't totally ****, but people still didn't support it to so they moved onto Skylanders.

The market showed that you didn't care about the original Spyro games after Insomniac stopped developing them, so Activison aren't going to go back and do it again if no one will care about it. People only seem to care about having an original Spyro game now because they feel over entitled to something because they don't have it.
