They should add new elements. If they did, what are some you think should be added? Im thinking Ice, Wind, or Thunder. Acid would be cool too.

Actually many "main" Elements includes the ones that you listed above (Water includes Ice, Air includes Wind and Storm, and Earth includes Acid). Also, this change will ruin the first game concept of having only 8 Elements that powers the Core of Light

One of the devs said in a video that they considered adding new elements (e.g. Light, Dark, Space, Time) but decided it'd complicate things too much at this point. They said maybe in the future though (which would make sense, I mean Pokemon has 16, er, now 17 elements!).

Maybe they will, but I personally like the idea of having 8 "macro elements", wich divides into different categories (Wind, Storm, Ice, Lava, Space, Time, Electric, Plant). It would make less restrictions, and help the devs create new characters.

I think that new elements could be problematic because then you'd have most/all new characters in that new element, or you'd have those elements with far less choices than the core eight.
SSF sort of has new elements, as the new movement types do, more or less, the same thing (restrict access to areas based on character-type).

Maybe Sci-Fi?

That is close to tech maybe Space and the picture could be like a comet
