Should Arbo Return? [CLOSED]

Since the new hub may be called WoodBurrow, people have suggested that the NPC's there will be tree people like Stump Smash or Zooks species. Well I would at least like Arbo from SSA to be one of those NPC's. I dont even need him to do anything, I just want him to be there. Whos with me?

By tree people I think they mean the guy in the robot graveyard level in SSF.

Ehh, Arbo is cute and all, but I always kind of thought the character was a bit annoying.

Yah he is annoying but like it or not he's coming back...... as a character....... probably a skylander.

There was a time, during the development of SA where he was actually a Skylander. Well, at least a figurine.

How do you know for sure Arbo is coming back? Nothing was confirmed yet. And why a Skylander??? I don't necessarily like Arbo, and what element would he be? Either magic, water, tech or air. Life is full.....

This was brought up when Giants was being made and some fans speculated Arbo being a Skylander. But he was finalized as an NPC character, so I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Regardless, I half agree. I personally kind of adore his appearance design, but I really don't like his personality for some reason. I'm not really sure what it is. Maybe it's the cheesy dialog.

Come on, man… the original post never said my answer had to be insightful.

I guess that, if you pushed me, I could attempt to articulate that I dislike the character as his ‘hilarious’ mannerisms are a blatant attempt to pander to children; and while I acknowledge and concede that Skylanders is a property aimed primarily at children, on the whole it does it’s best to show kids a good time without pandering to them or talking down to them. I find him annoying in the same way that a Starwars fan, while fully understanding that Starwars is designed for families, might find Jar-Jar difficult to put up with. The idea of him showing up at all, let alone ‘just standing there’ is an abhorrent thought that brings me nothing but grief and would prompt me to point out that every NPC in a game should serve some purpose beyond window dressing.

But the original post didn’t ask that, it asked if I thought he should be in the next game, and therefore I stand by my original answer.
No, good sirs – no he should not. He should be fired into the sun least we risk him returning at some later date.

^Jar Jar is 1 million times worse than Arbo... TRUST ME. If we go by pandering, I'm sure most of the game sidekick staff would be shot into the sun.

Not me.
Arbo was a lame NPC to begin with, and I'm pretty sure that's why he didn't return.
