I just went to my local Gamestop, and he said that on this Saturday, they are having an event from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. He said they will be selling Polar Whirlwind, Scarlet Ninjini, and if you buy a Skylanders Figure, you get a free sidekick. Also, some of their prices will be cut! Battle Packs will be (I think) 9.99.The first 25 people to get there get a free Swap Force poster, too! Sorry, if this has been posted or is old news, but I just thought I would share this info!

Me, too. I just got Scarlet Ninjini from Walmart online on a special deal.

I wasn't being sarcastic. My son and I have been waiting for Polar Whirlwind to come to the US since it became available for purchase on amazon.it.

I'll just go to be able to get some new fire skylanders that aren't Eruptor.... Cuz I have at least 2 of every element except fire (I actually have:
3 Earth
3 Undead
3 Air
2 Magic
2 Tech
2 Life
2 Water
1 Fire)

May be checking this to snag the last Sidekick I need.

I forget what the guy said... Maybe around $5-$6? I can't be too sure, but I think it's around that price. I have no idea about Giants, though. Sorry!

Are you certain that triple packs and single characters are on sale? The website doesn't mention them, only battle packs and starter packs.

He didn't tell me which sidekicks, he just said sidekicks will be on sale. I assume they are the Giant Sidekicks.

Hm... I might have misinterpreted what he said. Maybe not Single Packs or Triple Packs, but yes, definitely Battle Packs and Starter Packs. Sorry for any confusion I caused!

I really don't want to buy any more Giants merchandise. And even if they did release the Giant Sidekicks the 22nd, why would it be for one day? I would figure it will be the old SSA sidekicks. I will probably buy one thing, then wait for the prize to be given away.

When I called my local haunt, they said they didn't have "stock" right now but they'll be there in limited quantities on Saturday...and in the same breath, tried to get me to reserve for Swap Force. "Nah, only 12 chapters---just want to finish Giants...it's 8 months in the making"...silence fell on the phone.

No the poster is different than the one that TRU has. I took mine in yesterday to GS to show the manager and he said that GS is smaller and has more characters on it.

No, its the SSA SideKicks. They still have so many that the "Buy $20 worth of Skylanders to get a SideKick" did not work very well since their was not alot of new release of characters. I know Ninjini and Scarlet just came out during that time but that would not get you to $25 unless you bought another character or found them at the same time (Highly unlikely) and the way it looks is that most people have everything they wanted when this sale kicked off. Now they are just trying to get rid of the left overs before the GiantKicks come out.

Well I dont know about anyone else but the "event" was rather lackluster in my neck of the woods. My primary Gamestop only got 4 Polar Whirlwinds in stock and NO sidekicks. Got the last Polar for them. Went to the other Gamestop down the road they only had 6 Polars that came in stock along with the SSA sidekicks. Got the LAST Polar from that store as well. The second store also allowed me to get a second sidekick with the receipt from the first store. No other new figures in stock at either store.

So two Polars along with a Whisper Elf and a Trigger Snappy.

I picked up Polar Whirlwind along with a Stealth Elf sidekick , then drove up the rode to the mall and went into the mall's gamestop and was finally able to get Ninjini and a Gill Grunt sidekick.

Yeah i had a friend that had to go to different stores to be able to get the sidekicks, because they refused to let her get for polar whirlwind or a battle pack. I checked the flier and it clearly stated, "Any Skylanders Giants purchase."

Now for good news I went to the demo at the store over here in Texas, and it was pretty interesting. Got to try out the swaplanders and actually hold them myself and swap them. The magnets are cool, not too strong, but not too weak so it would feel unstable. Swapping was easy to do and the game play graphics were great. I even played with Tree Rex in the new game and his moves are completely redone for better looks. I asked the guy there about Giants as I was playing with Tree Rex and he did confirm that there wouldn't be Giant zones or any "feats of strength" and their focus is the swap force characters.

Now one cool factor I liked is that after I beat the climbing stage, with Blast Buckler, the prize wasn't a hat or anything like that it was actually an additional level that added on to the game similar to the Adventure pack levels.

Well I generally trust one of the Gamestops I frequent. Not the other one so much anymore. The employee informed me that corporate basically provided them with NO material for this so called "event". Which was fairly obvious as there was no promo material for it or the so-called promotion anywhere in the store.

This whole thing seems rather thrown together last minute and poorly at that.

I just got back and it wasn't much of an "event". there was a line, but long at all. They had 12 Polar Whirlwinds, 7 regular Ninjini's, no Scarlets, and no Sidekicks =(.

I bought a 3DS Starter Pack, 2 Polar Whirlwinds, a Lightcore Chill, and a Lightcore Pop Fizz.

I wonder why they advertised Sidekicks when it sounds like very few GameStops even got them in =/.

i got polar whirlwind they tried to tell me that i needed to buy a giant to get a sidekick but i just told them that it says otherwise online and they just changed the price of the sidekick to zero. now i have 3 sidekicks

My parents think I spend too much money on this stuff.
$140 is not that much for a kid without chores or any source of income but the change on sidewalks.

My local Gamestpo said that I needed to buy a Giant to get a Sidekick. I just got Polar Whirlwind there, because they only had a Dragonfire Cannon Battle Pack, which I already have, and the only Giants they had were Crusher and Ninjini. I already have Scarlet Ninjini, and I really don't need another. Although, I'm fine with it, because the sidekicks are useless right? They don't do anything?

I got polar and the golden dragonfire cannon and scorpion striker battle packs, but they didn't get any sidekicks. They were supposed to use any left over from the last promotion. They might have had 5 polars and like 10 scarlets. Also they said that was the last day to get lc hex when you preorder. Anyone else hear this?

Couldn't be more me....

I feel really bad for other Portal Masters who didn't get Polar Whirlwind from GameStop. Also, they probably won't have anymore of that.

I got polar whirlwind and one sidekick. When i went back at 2:20 they just gave me the last sidekick.
