I see you can no longer pre-oder Hex on Target.com. However do you think I can still get LightCore Hex on Oct 13th without preodering Swap Force?
I may hold out till some Black Friday deals for Swap Force, just don't want to lose out on getting Lightcore Hex.

I'm still convinced she'll be out long before that. Judging from last time, when Swap Force comes out that will be when all Giants figures are discontinued, basically (at least, that's when they'll be taken off the shelves to make room for Swap Force). It makes no sense for LC Hex to come out the same day she's discontinued.

I heard rumours about mid-July. Or June 22nd, when Polar is coming out at GameStop.

I seen Lightcore Hex out on a peg for sale at Target in Wheeling, IL.

Where is your proof that Giants figures are going to be discontinued? I have no doubt they'll be making them well into mid next year--simply for newcomers, figure gaps etc. It helps their cause by including areas in Swap Force that are Giants only friendly. I do suspect figures will generally be "tougher" after the end of this year.

The Skylander Boy and Girl Facebook page shows a photo of them holding Lightcore Hex that they found at Target.

I'd speculate that you'll be able to find Lightcore Hex in your area, probably in limited quantities, starting any day now, if she isn't already there. You should be able to find her before SwapForce releases.

I went to Target tonight and they had Lightcore Hex on the pegs. I grabbed one and went to checkout and when she tried to ring it up. It said Do not sell until 10/13. So they wouldn't sell it to me.

LC hex is prob sitting in the back with swap force waiting for 10/13 at most stores.

Agree with SlayerX. At this point, it's safe to say that many, if not most, of the retailers that will be selling SwapForce on 10-13-13 already have much of their release day supply already in-stock in the stock/backroom.

It's interesting to note that some have reported finding the Lightcore Hex on the shelves at Target stores, but then were "locked-out" by a "street date" in the computerized check-out register. Perhaps Target learned from their gaffs when Jade Flashwing first showed-up in early March. If so, good for them.

I wonder if the Skylander Boy/Girl/Dad were actually able to purchase those Lightcore Hex that they found at Target and posted pics of to their Facebook page? Sounds like if they did, then they found a way around the register lock-out?

Saw 5 on the pegs at Target just 20 minutes ago. Took one up to the register for the hell of it, sure enough got denied by the street date.

She was also stocked at Target. Went to buy and got denied by street date. They then took them all off the shelves.

Yeah, she's destined to become the cheapest of all the Skylanders.

Also i agree with LC Hex becoming the cheapest....there are going to be piled on the walls like those Gnarly Tree Rex's.

Still think she looks cool tho ..like the red glow in the bottom of her dress.

I went to toys R us in Roseville CA and they had around 10 LC Hex on the shelves. I have a pic if needed.

However, since I did the whole pre-order thing I didn't bother trying to purchase it.

If anyone needs a Gnarly that was Mooresville NC Target and they had another two in a separate part of the store.

My proof is in the fact that this is what happened LAST time. Not TECHNICALLY discontinued, sure, but there wasn't a single SSA to be found anywhere on the day I got Giants (in the first week it came out). Sure, a handful of figures returned to the shelves here and there since, but no volume ever again (until Walmart had them a few months ago). I count not being able to find them in stores to be close enough to discontinued for my taste.

lol... SSA Figures are still being distributed. Giants figures will stick around for awhile. They won't be as abundant as they have been, of course... but they'll still be around and still be shipping new product out.

My Target also had her! I didn't even try to buy one so I just told the employee they weren't supposed to be out yet.

My Target in Southeast Michigan also had Lightcore Hex out and my son asked if we could get her. I told him that we already had two free ones coming, so he had to wait. Then he looks down and sees two starter packs for Swap Force on the Wii. He goes absolutely nuts begging me to get it for him. I told him that we already have the Dark Edition pre-ordered from Gamestop and that he would have to wait. He responded, "I cannot wait eight more days. I need to play Swap Force." Target probably would not have let me buy it anyway. I just wanted to confirm that some of these stores are putting them out early.

SSA came out in 2011, so it's not surprising that you'd get some product trickling onto store shelves two years later, given the huge production runs they did on the figures. I seriously doubt they've been producing SSA figures for a while, though, given that I've only seen one SSA single pack being sold in the last month compared to hundreds of Giants packs.

Lightcore are Series 1

Well, I don't have any Lightcores of S2 to check, but I would think Hex and Eruptor and Drobot and (I forget who is the fourth is) would count as Series 2, since they ARE Series 2. Being Lightcore doesn't change that.

The way Activision is working it is that Series 1 is the first game it came out on, Series 2 is the second, Series 3 is the third. So Spyro from SSA is S1, from Giants is S2 and from Swap Force will be S3, while Shroomboom is only S1 in Giants since that's the game which introduced him. Hex was introduced in SSA, Lightcore is Giants, so S2.

That... isn't correct at all.

Saw LC Hex on the pegs at TRU yesterday. TRU drone scanned her on price checker and she was not date locked as far as he could tell.



I did question him about why she was on the pegs when she should really only be coming out this Sunday with the Swap Force starter packs and he did not really have an answer as to why she was out on pegs already. I hope they do not run out of her for people who pre-ordered SF starter packs...
