Assuming that works where is says returning skylanders there is an image of Tree Rex and Trigger Happy, not saying it's for sure, but could be. If the image doesn't show up, I got this from the FAQ on the official skylanders site

I doubt it. If they repose one giant I'd expect them to repose the others.

I do believe they have the wrong icons posted there (series 3 icon for "new characters" and the Giants icon for reposes), so I wouldn't read anything into it other than sloppiness on the webdevs part

If they reposed one, they would have to repose others. It's not like ActiBob would ship one box of Series 2 Tree Rex figures and that's it.
