Why are you so negative!?!? They should do ex. 2 players vs 2 players!!! As a team!? 2 players on 1 portal and 2 players on another one from another country!?!? I don't know but it would be GREAT!

Wait I don't think this confirms online multiplayer...didn't the portal get bigger with Swap Force? I hope it is online but if the portal has a larger surface area it could jut be 4 player local play.

look it really say 1-4 player..... it must be online muliplayer.. this rubber band is bad enough with 2 player so how the heck do they think its gonna be with 4 players???..

Yeah I went back and took a look at the Gamespot gameplay video and the new portal is freaking huge. You could easily fit 4 Swaplanders/Giants on the new portal. I'm thinking it's 4 player local...which is still damn cool....I'm still hoping it will be online as well though.

I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. I'm thinking of all the possibilities, and since that this is the only mention of the 4 player multiplayer it could be a fault on Nintendo's website.

The really strange part is that they haven't talked about this one way or the other. This is a huge deal for the game even if it is only local. With Disney confirming that Infinity will have online play this could really be a game changer or at the very least a major selling point.

Me too. And given Infinity is already online capable, my guess is that IF it supports online mode we won't know about it until days before the release.

It's a leaderboard, how do I know for sure? Because on a blog, posting that there will not be any single-player gameplay besides a survival mode.

On the bright side, that must mean that the game is 1-4 local players! Or Nintendo just made a mistake.

A leaderboard is useless if you aren't engaged in online play. My bet is yes, but we won't know about it for a while. Either that or it's simply a marketing ploy to replace universe as a way to show off how much money you've wasted on skylanders.

I could see the Arenas totally being a 4 player local option. There's no cord between players and the widest angle is already handled by the boundaries of the arena itself.

But bionicle the reason we could not fit more then 2 landers on the old portal was because of the barrier but there is no barrier on this portal so we could fit more then 2 skylanders on the portal.
