So, according to Eurogamer, VV have announced that Swap Force is going to be coming to the PS4 and XBO too. Presumably, this'll be the same deal as the Wii U version of Giants where Swap Force will be a launch title for both the PS4 and XBO.

So, anyone interested in waiting a bit more for the PS4 and XBO versions? Personally, no. I'd rather wait until Skylanders 4.

I'll only get an XBO if some really good exclusives come along. If I get it, I'll get Skylanders games for it. I'll never get a PS4 after my fat PS3 broke because of an update.

Must sign in to the net to play these two versions of the game. I'll probably buy them just to support Skylanders, but never the two systems they play on... unless they change their DRM/always online policies.

I am NEVER getting an XBox 1 unless they get rid of the "Must Connect Online" bull****, because not all of us live in a place were that is possible. What's the point of a system you cannot even use?

and the fact it also cost $800 at lowest cost! and the xbox 360 connection is terrible i would have to get one of them things which boosts the connection and it only works once every 2 days so no way could i get it

i will tell you this, if you get skylanders swap force for the xbone. you will have to be online to play the game even in single player or you will not be able to play your skylanders swap force.....

the ps4 you don't need to be online to play single player games like skylanders swap force....

anyway if you gonna get skylanders swap force get it on the wii-u,ps3,ps4 or x360.... if you don't have online, have bad connection or lose connection etc. you will be able to play your single player games of skylanders swap force on these systems...

Sounds like you got one of the crappy rushed white-colored prototypes. Still, that's longer than how long I had one. I got two Original XBox360s, and they both broke down in less than a day.

A simple "that sucks" can suffice.

I refuse to buy any console that requires an online connection to work. XBone is definitely out and the jury is still out on the PS4. Regardless, I don't buy consoles at launch anyway, so I'll be getting Swap Force for the PS3.

Nice official unveil of the PlayStation 4 system and price of $399 and also support used games .

I plan to buy it for PS3 and just buy the game disc for PS4 when I finally get one. PS4 spanked XB and there is no reason to deviate from the Sony ship with the nonsense MS is trying to force on the consumer.

it is not gonna be better looking than the wii-u anyway.... also it is good to have all games on one console, like me i have ssa and sg on the ps3.. and soon swap force... skylanders5 will also come for the ps3 aaaaaand skylanders 6 too... i have no plan to get a ps4 before 2-3 years... to many good games coming and online gaming is free to play... on ps4 you will have to buy ps+ to play games online...

Xbox backtracked so the internet issue is now moot, as is the used game issue.

They need to make an Owners pack for XBO and PS4 (Assuming the portal from the Ps3/Xbox360 works on the new systems). People that buy the game at launch (Like me buying the xbox 360 version) and then buy the XBO/PS4 later, shouldn't have to buy another portal because they want to play with the better graphics of the next gens.

wrong they only issued a patch to turn it off for the moment. they can at a later stage patch it again and turn it on. all the draconian drm is build into the xbone hardware and can not be removed... and the kinect spy cam is still needed. don't be fooled by microsoft they didn't turn of this draconian drm off for you the customers, they did it only because they was afraid to lose money...

If the PS4 version supports remote play, I'll probably get it instead if I have one by then. I was planning to wait to pick up the game until Christmas like I did Giants anyway - made out like a bandit with all the sales.

I agree. This reminds me when Windows could be freely installed/used in the early days and monitored for licensing...now everything has to be "authentic" etc. Make no mistake---they showed their cards...they WILL go in this direction so if u get fooled and buy their crap you deserve what you get when they turn it back on.

I personally think gaming is going down the tubes...it's not wildly popular from a growth perspective and now they're making decisions to help people run from it altogether or to other more freedom-minded options. I vote for getting our butts outside and enjoy a real activity.

They won't do this, it was why it wasn't done with the Wii U. Someone somewhere will try to buy it without a portal and think it is not required.

You can always get the Swap Force PS3 version and play it on PS4 when its release this Nov or Dec.

No! That's a terrible idea! A good idea is to put it neat a fan, or partially take it apart.

I never get the game right away, always the figures since i know the starter packs will be easier to find. I could probably wait till after Christmas even to get it. I might as well get it on the Xone since that's the system i am going with first for next gen. I may make an exception and get the 3ds version right away just to get my free hex though

Getting a PS4 maybe. Not sure atm on budget cause of the wife loosing her job. So preordered atm for wii u. Might preorder it for ps4 tomorrow, worse case i'm out a $1 (which i prob could get refunded but its a $1)
