My six year old found this out and I didn't know you could do it.
She put LC prism break on the portal when she was playing SSA and he worked. Tried it with Eruptor and Dreadbot and they both worked.
Of course it doesn't say "Lightcore" when the teleport in....but was kind of surprised it worked at all.

Yeah they work, as do the legendarys such as Stealth Elf and ignitor- they just appear as the series 1 characters

they just dont have the lightcore blast, which is a lightcore character's key element

I think the key element is that they get an extra few bucks out of your wallet for a character you already own.

Normally few bucks more....most of the light core I got with bestbuy rewards gift cards (thanks X-mas) so they where $2 each....when you look at it like that it's worth it.
