Broken boomer [CLOSED]

Hey all just joined this site hoping to find some help in a matter.

Well I managed to find a boomer 3-packjust before xmas and all was fine, however boomer is now broken. I tried resetting the toy, but when on the portal he does nothing. I tried to do the activsion surport but it needs the serial number to him, however I cant read mine as we mark all our sons toys so he knows who's his is and who's his friends/cousins are since they all play. Does anyone know the serial number to boomer, I know all the codes on the bottom are univeral as I have matched my sons toys with my neices and they all match, but she doesn't have boomer.
I would just go out and find another but I cant find him anywhere and ebay wants way way too much for a toy.

Again I am not asking for a web code, just the 8-digit number on the bottom.

Hold a flashlight at an angle and you will see the numbers on boomer.

Does Activision require someone to send the defective toy for an exchange? Never had any issue with any of our figures but it seems like it would be a no brainer to send in the defective one to prove you even have it to begin with.

I thought that as well but when I had an issue with my lightcore Shroomboom, they just sent me a new one without asking for the toy in return.

This is some story to come up with, I'm sure there are easier ways to get a free toy.

Licutie, PM sent with the code - hope it helps.

I was asking a question in general. I assume your original "answer" and this snarky reply were meant for the OP.

^ Only Ghost Roaster would work ._. All Variants have a different Serial Number.

I'm sorry i even bothered to ask. I am not trying to get a free toy, I'm just trying to fix a toy for my 7yr old son. We put a small amount of nailpolish on the bottom of all his toys to tell them apart from others. We do this for all his toys that are figures. We do this for skylanders, tmnt, power rangers etc. I had no idea I would need a number on the bottom of a toy to get a return, I have my receipt. I thought that would be enough.

Not really. Do you know how to get free skylanders easier than put in the code on the support website?

Its quite possible her toy could be screwed. We started putting colored stars on the bottom of our toys to tell them apart, I prob could get them off if i needed to see the serial number but I'll deal with that if it ever comes about. When you have 4 ppl in the same household that all play toys get confusing, so I can understand why someone might want to put a marker on a toy to know who it is.

I colored one of my Boomer bases Black, the green part, yet I can still see the code.

Why does it matter? They aren't selling Boomer at the moment so they technially aren't making profit from stores with him right now. It would be different if they were giving him to stores, but as far as we've seen, he's not been on shop shelves for months now. And it is quite a plausible story... I know kids who mark the bottom of their toys.

Would have blasted off a PM, TC, but it looks like ShaneK beat me to it. Good luck.

I sent it via PM, and have just resent it. Let me know when you get it.

Sorry you got such a bad reception here, hope it hasn't spoilt it for. It's a good forum, with good information, and some good people.

I agree, but context matters. A person with zero posts asking something of a site is bound to get critical stares. That's just normal board MO. Not trying to justify reaction, but I see both sides.
