(I'm being a tad bit sarcastic, but at least let's try and use a bit of evidence on who's getting a remake, not just who we'd like to see).
Current list:

Not yet (officially, anyway) announced:

SUPER UPDATE: Read this post: //forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/viewposts.php?topic=80492 Assuming it's legit (Aura24 believes it is, that's good enough for me), we will be seeing S3

UPDATE: I just realized, that all the Legendaries in SSA came back as remakes in SG. Legendaries give us a good idea of why Activision likes/thinks we like. So perhaps all the Legendaries in SG (and SSA?) will come back as remakes in SF (minus Bouncer, of course, since he's a giant, and likely Chill)?
UPDATE... AGAIN: I just realized another thing! Activision will make remakes of who they think fans love most or are most appealing or sell the best? How can we tell which ones they think we love? The new Skylanders: Block-Fu! of course! It has 8 characters, one from each element, which are selectable. I think we could be seeing those as remakes. They are:

So I think we'll see the above characters as reposes. They are considered flagship characters. Hot Dog is the only SGlander on the list, not sure if we'll see him as a remake though.
So, we know S3 Stealth Elf is coming. She's a fan favorite, and one of the better selling characters.
Now, what about the other 15?
It is almost certain that Eruptor will get a S3. He was shown at the toy fair (though in a previously existing pose), and is a fan favorite.
The rest are a bit harder.
While, Eruptor is a clear favorite for Fire, it's hard to say who's second. Sunburn, Flameslinger, Ignitor, and maybe even Hot Dog are candidates. If they do use the unreposed S1 characters, Sunburn will likely be chosen.
Let's take a moment to discuss whether or not they will used the "forgotten" (that's what we're all gonna call unreposed characters from SSA, i smell a new trend). In an interview (discovered by user Zylek, http://www.computerandvideogam...ge=3#top_banner), Guha Bala (his name is so fun to say!), when asked about bringing back them, didn't exactly give a direct answer, but that "it's possible" and that it's also a question of "who's the person [they] haven't seen much of before?". He didn't deny it, so that could be considered evidence by some. Activision must know that people don't want to buy a ton of reposes, so they probably have figured out that they would make more money releasing the "forgotten," as people have been askign for them for a while, and people would want to buy reposes of characters who haven't gotten them before. It's even possible we see maybe like four forgotten and 12 others. EDIT: Someone stated that some interview said that Boomer's big year would be 2013. If he gets a remake, it would seem logical that half if not all Forgotten would get remakes as well. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?f...d&v=JJmSlTh1bO0
So for now, let's focus on one character (who got a S2 form) who it would seem most likely to get another repose.
For Magic, it's hard to say. Spyro, of course, is sort of a flagship character, so it's likely he'd get a new form (anyone else want to see a Convexity wowpow?). On the other hand, Wrecking Ball and maybe Double Trouble are fan-favorites. Plus, Alex Ness liked Pop Fizz the best (yes, I am aware that Toys for Bob is not in charge of Swap Force, but it has been stated that they are working closely with VV, to help pass the baton I suppose), though I doubt he'll get a remake (unless they don't do forgotten, or don't do Voodood, whom I do not like).
For Tech, it seems most likely that Trigger Happy would get the remake. He was practically the mascot of Toys For Bob, and who doesn't like a gold-obsessed/creating insane little gremlin? Of course, those who bought the SSA starter pack may not want to buy yet another remake, but I think he'd still do well. Next to Triggs, there aren't really any clear fan favorites who got reposes and could rival Triggs, aside perhaps Drobot. Of course, everyone wants Boomer back, so if they do remake Forgotten, he'll be there.
For Air, Whirlwind or Sonic Boom would seem to be the most liked by fans. Whirlwind appeals to bronies (forgive me for using that vile word) and younger girls (I'm not trying to stereotype, I'm just saying that my younger sister wants Whirlwind the most of all the characters), so she'd get a fair market share. Sonic Boom is also a favorite, it would seem, and her resonance abilities along with her hatchlings make her an expert at crowd control. Seeing as Whirlwind got a variant in SG, it would seem that Activision favors her. Zeusdude, I mean, Lightning Rod, doesn't seem to be near as likely. Jet Vac might, I suppose. I would like to see a Warnado remake, as would plenty of other fans.
For Earth, it's a close choice. Terrafin, Bash, Flashwing, and PB are pretty good with fans, it would seem. As PB got two new forms in SG, it would seem he won't this year (though he might, knowing Activision, plus Eruptor seems likely for fire, and he got two forms for SG). Terrafin or Bash seem most likely. Both are somewhat overpowered with the right upgrade paths (plus wowpows). Dino Rang was a good character, I'd like to see him return.
For Undeath, Chop Chop, Hex (how I hate that witch, but most seem to like her), and Cynder are the clear frontrunners. If we get one, one of the others will probably show up as a Ligthcore (Hex already got a LightCore, so she almost certainly won't get a LC form this time around, and Chop Chop would have the most potential with a LC form, with glowing eyes and sword, though Cynder's lightning would be a cool LC element as well). Ghoster Roaster is as likely as Boomer to return, as a lot of fans want him.
For Water, Chill, Gill Grunt, and Slam Bam seem to be on top of things. Among those, I'd say Gill Grunt will likely be the chosen one for a series 3 repose. Wham Shell, considered to be the rarest non-recolored/variant/alt, would lose a bit of his appeal (though his S1 would still sell high I'll bet).
For Life, we know Stealth Elf will return. The LC would probably be a new character, or Stump Smash or Zook (I'd say the latter, as Stash doesn't have a lot of LC potential). If all the Forgotten return, Camo of course will be included. If only four return, it'd be a bit harder to say.
There's also going to be 8 new LCs. I'm betting that these will be different from the Series 3 characters. So that means we could see up to three characters return from each element. So we may see the top character from each element, then the second most liked, then the forgotten character. Actually, it'll probably be like Giants, with 4 LC characters from previous games, and 4 LC newlanders.
So what are your sciency educated guesses at the reposes?
Just to note, I have yet to buy a repose, not including a LC (when Giants came out, a sale came on for S1 characters, and I got quite a few of them instead of reposes). I think the prospect of buying the same character over and over again is something like this:
However, I might buy a repose of a Forgotten character, or a character I haven't collected yet in any form.
