If I have most of the series 2 reposed characters, is there any point to buy series one of the same character? I am gonna buy spyro's adventure game soon, and I have some of series 1, that were not reposed, ie voodod, wham shell, camo, etc that I can use in the game.So as long as I can use my S2 characters, then what is the incentive to get Series 1 characters when I can use my series 2 character?

I have extra skylander giants, and skylander giants in game variants, molten, scarlet, polar, jade. PM me if you are interested. |

you can use the s2 in ssa but then the s2 will become s1. why buy s1 then when you have s2... the answer to your question is 'nope'.

No, unless you're a collector.

If you're just collecting S1 after collecting S2, just get the 8 unreposed for S1.

There's an advantage to getting S2 characters, actually a few, in Giants, but in SSA, S1 and S2 are the exact same. There is literally NO advantage I can see to get the S1 version of anyone you have in S2. In fact, if there's someone you don't have either version of and you had both in hand in the store, you should pick up S2. In Giants, they have an extra upgrade (WowPow) and the ability to switch paths, as well as being able to unlock their Heroic Challenge in Giants.
Conversely, both S1 and S2 unlock the Heroic Challenge in SSA. At this point the only reason to get SSA characters is if you want a complete collection, and to get the non-reposed characters, i.e. the ones who didn't get a S2 version like Ghost Roaster and Wham Shell and Boomer and such.

I agree. The only reason to get S1's is if you're a collector, like me, who wants them all! Except the 8 that are only S1's, seeing as you can't get them any other way. Hope this was helpful.

The only thing I can say to help you is this: Do you want to have a version of the character that goes down both paths without changing or resetting? As many people pointed out already, you can change your upgrade path with a S2 in SG. However I doubt it works that way in SSA. For example: My S1 Stealth Elf went down the blades path, however my S2 Stealth Elf when down the decoy path. Now, since I have both figures I can switch out to either upgrade path I want at any given time. So that's the only real bonus I can think of other than essentially having an extra life with that one character per level. Hope this helped you make your decision!

Very good tip giving S1 a path and S2 the other path. I have a S2 and LC Eruptor and plan on using your tip.
Thanks, Lori |
