Tree Rex connection to Urdnot Wrex? [CLOSED]

How many of you have played the Mass Effect games?

I'm trying to figure out if Tree Rex is sort of a homage or inspired by the Popular character from the Mass Effect games Urdnot Wrex.

The are not exactly alike, but here is my evidence:

In early interviews Tree Rex was called Tree "Wrecks" Almost like they couldn't decide on the name?
The both have brown faces with red forehead panels.
Similar leathery complexions and small beady eyes w/o noses.
Both use ramming charge attacks
Both have similar gruff voices.

Haven't played or seen Mass Effect, but.. The name is obviously a reference to Tyrannasaurus Rex, but that doesn't mean that this Wrex didn't ALSO inspire the name, or maybe even help decide the name (after all, Tree Rex doesn't even remotely resemble a dinosaur... Would be so cool if he did). And one cannot deny the physical resemblance! I wish the Tree Rex picture included more of his face, isn't it even the same shape??? At least roughly?
