Sleath elf as seen in my avatar looks more like a ninja. And the only thing that upsets me is I can't use my old portal

You need a new portal for the new technology you would need one eventually deal with it

Wow, that makes 0 sense... Why would you do that... The portal is only like 10 extra $.

This is hard to fathom

I personally don't mind the new portal. Though i prefer the design the new design does add a little additional differentiate with the new installment. Like, S:SA had the original, Giants adjusted the glow so that it'd glow at the bottom in the different colors but not on the sides. S:SF has a whole new design.

I for one most likely will just about allways get the Portal owners pack. Not necessarily for the portal but for the additional 2 figures. However, I'd probally buy the portal owners pack if I get the game for more than one console but at the moment I only have 1 working console but I don't see the need to get it for mulitple consoles for now(even if I did have more than 1 working console.) Saying console does not refer the 3DS version since it's a handheld. Plus It comes with different skylanders than the console ones... Well in the first game it came with 2 completely different ones and 1 variant of one the consoles had. Giants I was sad with because it came with 2 of the same skylanders and 1 completely different one but was a variant and not a normal one. (Good thing I got a GitD Cynder for the 3DS or I'd have 2 S2 cynders and 2 treerexs.) I really hope they go back to how S:SA did it.


As for the ninja... Stealth Elf is a ninja. However, i still prefer the original look better but the new outfit isn't that bad. I just hope that for S4 and then on she'll have to have the ninja outfit... or maybe allow you to swap between the two outfits. We don't want another Chill problem. (Though still her upgrade armor is ok in my books but i like her original best.)

And how much will each character be? I can't be spending $300 for everything. S:SA wasz $60 or $70, S:G was $75, I'm not going to pay $80 for that. I will collect the figures to have them as collectibles, not every single figure, but only the figures I think look cool.

will the new portal be beckward compatible? will i need to swich out portals for ssa AND sg?

No, you won't because it is the exact same technology as the original 2 portals, it only has some other technology mixed in so it can read Swap-Force Skylanders.

can you like do the whole portal hack for more space? with an old portal in SF

the new portal surface has no border on the outside so if the skylanders are accidentally knocked off the portal then it is more likely to fall of as u can see both portals in these links:

I like the new portal. It looks like a castle to me because of the oenings underneath. It looks like it'll also be able to put more skylanders on it like you said.

It's a pretty cool looking design, and the light seeps out in a cooler way.

I do like how to light comes out the sides, though I liked the ancient look of the giants portal.

I hope the glitch from the SG kind is fixed since I think it is wired

It's pretty cool, not as ancient-looking but still cool and mystical!
Do wish Activision would've made a cipher so we can learn more about the symbols on the side of the old portal, but this new portal uses the elemental symbols directly.
I imagine in a dark room it will look far cooler, what with the light seeping out the sides!
