Some interesting things about this game... [CLOSED]

Jumping.

Jumping jumping jumping jumping jumping.

Why? I hope jumping doesn't mess up the gameplay. One of the reasons I prefer the console version is that you CAN'T jump. Jumping in the 3DS version makes it impossible to include fun puzzles, hidden keys, and more. I'd hate it if you can jump too high and those awesome turtles won't be needed anymore. If you can jump, they'd better not let you jump over them. That's all I really have to say about jumping.

Now, the next interesting thing...
Swappable characters.

We should all know by now that you can remove the top half of a Skylander and replace it with another one. I've also heard that BOTH halves of the Skylander will receive EXP... If that's true, wouldn't each half have an MFID chip, or whatever those things are called? And if that was true, what about multiplayer? There's obviously 2-player co-op... But if you both used the swappable parts, that'd be 4 chips. A new Portal is also needed... Is it possible that maybe since the Portal will be able to detect more toys, you could play as 4 normal Skylanders at once? Not sure if this would happen, but just something interesting I thought of.

So, yeah. That's really it. What do you guys think about jumping and 4-player co-op?

EDIT: One last thing I was thinking about today. Combinations.
The first game has 32 Skylanders. Second one had 8 Giants + 8 Core + 8 LightCore + 24 Series 2. Let's do the math, shall we? Right now there's 80 Skylanders that appear different in-game (not including variants and legendaries). If you're playing 2 players, find 80 squared and you'll notice that you can play as 6,400 different combinations of Skylanders at a time.
Now, for Swap Force, we can add 16x16 (256) to that. 80 + 256 = 336. Do 336 squared and there's 112896 combinations, if I did that right. Remember, this doesn't even include variants and legendaries. And I'm not going to even try putting magic items into that equation yet. But if anyone knows the answer, please tell me: How many different Skylanders are there in-game? (Including variants and legendaries.)

EDIT TO THE EDIT: Also, won't a new BlueTooth Portal be needed, too?

Jumping seems cool but like you said I hope you can't jump so high to get over turtles and get items faster.
Swapping body parts is a little confusing to me.
It would be awesome to play 4 players me my dad and my sister would have a blast :3

I'm not 100% sure they'd have 4 players but it'd definitely be possible to play as 4 non-SWAP Force Skylanders if VV wanted us to. I wonder how part swapping will work. Like, can you take off the top and play as just the bottom xD

In the 3DS version of Spyro's Adventure, you can jump, but you can also fall off of the platforms / islands. However, you simply lose damage and respawn.

I also heard certain SWAP Force Skylanders can fly. Would this also apply to Air Skylanders?

...Yeah, those calculations are wrong. It just 16^2 = 256 combinations of Swap Force characters and then 256 + 40 (The non-swap 'landers in this game) + 99 (the figures from SSA and SG) = 395 differently recognised characters.

But, they'll probably round that up to 400 with legendary 'landers.

So that'd be about 160000 co-op combinations...

Oh... Wait, you were working out how many combinations could be on the portal at once... That's a whole different kettle of fish.

Oh. You still helped though, I wasn't sure how many different Skylanders there were. I just know of the basic SSA: 32, SG: 8 Core + 8 LightCore + 24 Series 2 + 8 Giants, and SSF: 16x16 swappables. If this is right though... Wow, that's a lot of combinations

184,900

4,622,500 w/ Magic Items

But, that is physical.

In-game: 167,281

4,014,744 w/ Magic Items

I'm probably way off on this so please correct me if I'm wrong.

In giants (counting the variants) the total amount of skylanders that can be used is... 99, when you add 256 Swap Combos, also 16 of the new character plus the extra 16 new reposes, you will have... (99+256+16+16)387 different skylanders, however not counting the possible variants in SF, currently there are approximately 149769 combos

Thanks, never knew the exact number of Skylanders. Eventually we'll need to find out magic items too. So far I know...
Sky-Iron Shield, Winged Boots, Anvil, Healing Elixer, Time Twist Hourglass, Ghost Swords, Treasure Chest, Sparx, Dragonfire Cannon, Golden Dragonfire Cannon, Scorpion Striker, and 8 Sidekicks. Is there a variant for the Scorpion Striker? If not, that means 19 Magic Items right now.

Not counting swaps, variants, or returning 'landers, there will be 80 total uniqe playable characters.

Eon is pretty awesome at recruitment.

I'd say there are fewer characters. For example, Eruptor, S2 Eruptor & Light Core Eruptor are really the same character and the same code in the game, withi just a few different markers. The code on the chip in the figures base just says "yes" to lightcore" instead of "no" or "yes" to wow-pow" instead of no.

So the game makers dont have to count that as a truely unique character, from a game design perspective.
