near the begining of the level there is a red house to the left called the abandoned house, if you go inside there seems to be a wilikin ghost there, with floating objects and different, more creepy music.Yet there seems to be no real point of having it there as there are no collectables inside, or coins, or things like that. I wondered if anybody knew a bit of info about it and/or found anything inside worth going in there for? (other than to creep you out)

yeah, I kinda got that as soon as I went into that level, but I wondered if there was any real back story to it all, or maybe I'm just being a bit imaginative?

To be honest, Wilikin Village is a wonderful idea that unfortunately never goes anywhere. They were kind of setting Kaos up to be a very sympathetic villain but....it never goes anywhere.
It's kind of creepypasta-ish though in a sense that the game never mentions it again. Maybe it's a hint for the next game though.

When I first went in I thought that the floating objects was a glitch! And if Activision makes a third game, the Wilikin will probably have a bigger role since they are Kao's dolls.

I wonder if the Willikin level was intended to be a stand alone adventure at some point, sort of like the Empire of Ice or Darklight Crypt.

The Wilikin are so simple-minded how would they fix Flynn's ship and "make better"?

The only thing worth going in there for is so you can have all areas found to be able to get 3 stars for that chapter.

I figure they're more child-like than simple-minded, which means they still have the capacity to do things of a higher function but act/express themselves in a child-like manner. Afterall, they were playthings for Kaos. |

As soon as you "discover" Wilikin World at the beginning of the level, this gives you a bridge to cross and enemies to fight in Facadeville, the Main Street-looking area. Coming up off of the bridge, it's the first door on your left in Facadeville. There's nobody in it and nothing to get, but if you pay attention there's a partially transparent child Wilikin floating around, and in the back room the furniture is floating.

Ummmmm, yeah, that's the house this thread is about. And rest assured, the layout of the Chapters is the same on all systems, the only difference is the controls (because they have to be) and the glitches (like only the XBox and PS3 versions of SSA have a problem with Lightning Rod's Heroic Challenge). I have the XBox version and I've been in this house. To satisfy your curiosity.
