Post your thoughts/opinions about the two " home bases" for SSA and Skylanders Giants. Did you like the switch from the Ruins in SSA to Flynn's Ship in Skylanders Giants. For Skylanders 3, would you like to continue your journey on Flynn's Ship or would you like to roam around some type of homeland?

The homeland was by far better.

An area like the first game, with customizations like the second game is what I would like in the 3rd game.

I agree. I enjoyed Flynn's Ship, but for the next game, I think it would be neat if you could come back to the homeland whenever you want. To further explain, after completing many of the beginning levels in Giants, I think that we should have been able to go to some homeland. On the other hand, between levels like Autogyro Adventure, Lost City of Arkus, and Bringing Order to Kaos, I would like to resort to Flynn's Ship because they are all in a similar location and are related in a way.

I love something like his.But what else I would like is and what I always said to myself when playing giants I would love a room/house for your skylander.I would love something kind of Kirby's Epic Yarn esc.Like another treasure you could get our you could buy is furniture your skylanders could interact with in your house like you could sit on a sofa and watch tv.What gave me this idea was that on Flynn's Ship you had no cabin which I was very angry about.

Yes! A customizable and explorable hub! I don't like the ship it's so small.

You have a good point

It be cool if they gave the home base a free-play / roaming capability like in the newest Lego games.

The land was better. Yu could roam more places and there was even water to try and see if they float in water

I like both, but if I had to pick one... Flynn's Ship.

The Ruins was a lot better, since you could practice moves in a more open space. And you could do the Infinite Treasure glitch there.

The Ruins. The ship is so tiny.

Flynn's ship as an idea was pretty cool. Moreso I think in the 3DS version especially after you see what Frightbeard's ship does.

The Ruins though was much more open and explorable. I hope that in the next game, there's more of an open ended "overworld" of sorts for you to explore like the Ruins.

The Ruins. Flynn's ship sucks, it could at least be at sea.
If that old fool Flynn wants to use a ship he should get lessons from Gurglefin, a real captain.

There's also something else I don't like about flynns ship, no quiggley to use as target practice!

I like the customisation of the ship but prefer the ruins overall

the customization of the ship is worthless for me. However, I do like the luck-o-tron wheel, but you could easily do that anywhere.

The Ruins...

I enjoy Flynn's ship and the customization feature. But I would like to see something more like the Ruins but larger with more areas to explore. I'm thinking along the lines of Lego Batman 2 and the Gotham hub. Oh, maybe a combination of various Skylands that can be explored and you travel via Flynn's ship

Ruins was bigger and you could attack the NPCs; but less customazations like the Jukebox, Luck O Tron Machine, Cannon (still don't like it much though), Auric's shop, and the Arena Challenges with Brock. The 3rd game should be in the ruins with all these.

The best thing about the Flynn's ship though is....

I like ship, but it's kinda ironic that in Giants your hub world is such a small, confined area. I'd love to stomp around the ruins with Tree Rex. I also miss being able to swim or fly over water in the ruins.

I wish he could come aboard the ship after Chapter 3 and then do his quotes like he did in the last game but this time with the new Skylanders and Giants.

I liked Flynn's Ship in Giants, but for a third game I would rather see the "rebuilt" ruins like in the cutscene.

Yeah! No kidding! I miss abusing them and finding out what different attacks do to them, though we can still do that on Rumbletown and of course a few other places. I also miss the stupid things Quigley had to say, a unique thing to each Skylander. They replaced that with The Oracle knowing everybody's name.

I kind of like the idea of a combo... A nice home area like the Ruins - it was so pleasant-looking, like being out in nature, when it was sunny it almost felt like being out on a nice summer's day - but having some customizability like Flynn's Ship.

Now that we've played S:SA a little bit...Ruins by far. SO COOL.

I'd say Ruins. I'd like to see a bigger main area in Skylanders 3, like maybe something similar to the ruins but bigger with more stuff going on, a nice blue sky, good music and BROCK!

I liked the Ruins the most because it has more space and you could ride on Flynn's balloon!
