As I understand the comment, the person didn't hack the X-BOX SYSTEM, he hacked the FIGURE, editing the electronics inside a figure to have it report itself as a Ninjini (etc.) instead of whatever it really is. So in real life the physical figure could look like Spyro, Cynder, Gill Grunt, whatever, we don't know. I haven't ripped one open, but it's conceivable that they have a chip identical to the ones in most people's bank cards. With the hardware that can read/write to such a chip, one might be able to replace the contents. The hard part would be finding the replacement data.
