hi all, new portal master here we just started playing skylanders starting Giants and me with kids had tons of fun. im just curious if they will still be making Skylanders Spyros Adventures singles,3 packs and Adventure packs? im very interested in getting Adventure packs as they work great with Giants also. i recently went to couple stores (TRU,Gamestop,wally,Target) all i can find is the Pirate Seas and Empire of Ice. i dont want to spend a fortune on scalpers at Ebay and Amazon as the other 2 Adv. packs are x2 to x3 their normal price . after we complete these, well prolly work our way through getting all series 1 just for collection thanks all

i dont think they will be making new ssa anymore. since sg is out. what you can do is try to get one of TRU,Gamestop,wally,Target to call up one of their other own shops. if they have some in the other shop maybe they can send you... or you can try call around yourself, i am sure they can put it aside for you to pick up...

Well they are still selling lots of s1 cynders here in Ireland but I say they will make ssa figs but they will be very rare and hard to find just like Wham-Shell so that means x2 as hard to get

No, they no longer make the figures for the first game. Production is now focused on the new game, and once a company moves forward to a new line of products they don't keep making the old ones. Especially since they have new versions of most of the characters.

Don't even try getting them. If you still don't have Spyro's adventure, don't go for it. I am in the final stages of my collection, but I have noticed that they are now beginning to cost twice as much even on amazon. DO NOT GET S A IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT ALREADY.

im comitted now, i just cant ignore it as the collector in me wants to complete at least the base 37 for SSA. ill give it a couple weeks as my local TRU just retocked SSA the only thing I im missing are 2 triple pack consisting dinorang and lightning rod packs. ill end up prolly buying em online. whats weird is the most rare in my location, im in Fl, are the SSA Adventure Packs. cant even find 1 at all. if in weeks I still cant any of the ones I need il resort to amazon or evilbay.

You are going to spend somewhere between 500 and 800 dollars then. have fun.

sadly not the only im missing now is the dark light crypt. ill prolly just buy it online next week. besides some serires one packs I got were discount or bogo 50% off, so charging extra for last set is ok. im still buyongwaiting as I cant comprehend buying an item with a x3 price increase of the original price.

dude chill, I was refering why buy it ridiculusly expensive if I can get 1 cheaper. I can buy it anytime on evil bay but the community here are very nice. a couple peeps pm me and will try to hook me up if they find 1 orig price+shipping till next week. if not im off to evilbay.

I got mine for free, but it was one of those "Get Darklight Crypt for free with the game" deals from over a year ago. I really lucked out.

lucky you. their rodiculously expensive at and it think they stopped production for this pack. I just started playing this game last xmas and started collecting base characters for SSA and Giants. lol what have I gotten too. iam an ocd and its an expensive hobby. at least my kids are having a blast amd so am I.

Online is your best bet. if you look hard enough on ebay, you can find wham-shell for less then 40$.

yes i am, we just started skylanders game last christmas. they were gifted with starter packs and we gave them wave 1-3 figures sklanders giants for christmas.(i have 3 kids btw) ever since then we were hooked so from there i decided to get series 1 here and there whenever there was a sale. so covering for the cost of Darklight Crypt was ok as i got most series 1 of the figures on sale or buy one get one. but still im keeping my hopes high as i can get one for the original price. this is a price to pay for late starters. some goes cheap some goes ridiculously expensive.

if you have TRU in your area you shud check their stock of triple packs i found mine in TRU just first week of january after they restock when the shelves got emptied last christmas. i got triple packs for boomer/voodood/PB, camo/whirlwind/Ignitor and eruptor/chop2/bash all on 1 day.

no, they're not

Watch for them at your local Walmart and Target. They still have them trickle in. I saw 2 darklight crypts at Walmart last week.

just triple pack dino rang/zap/hex thats the only pack havent seen and the only one we need to complete series 1 figures started collecting series 1 this january so i suppose they still make them or unless are just overstock from warehouse. still good as we got ours cheap

I've seen new Empire Of Ice adventure packs and new S1 Skylanders that have been recently shipped to a local game store - that would leave me to believe that they are still being manufactured, or Activision are still trying to shift some of their old stock.

cud be just overstock if they still make them we had like 8 bestbuys around my area as theres only couple SSA figures and packs left. but prolly ill just buy mine online if i still cant find it in a week or two

What would be nice is if Activision or Toys for Bob could REALLY answer the production question here. I don't have much to go to be complete with my SSA collection (Darklight Crypt, Pirate Seas). If they still sell the game, it makes sense they still make the figures.

Btw, I went into my local Toys R US and they had TONS of SSA figures, like Chop Chop Hex etc...and 3 packs like Warnado Ignitor and Camo...so they are still making them although I'm REALLY confused as to the scarcity. The new GIANTS game is nowhere near as scarce in terms of availability, but in seeing interviews it was clear they did NOT want that to be an issue.

Given that stores is actually INCREASING space for these toys in the stores it makes sense after x number of iterations it simply isnt cost effective to stock every character from every game...it's going to be an interesting problem for Activision moving forward.

Unexpected but I know around here (Northern Virginia) we have a store called Walgreens which is kinda like a CVS. They ALWAYS have Skylander stock and all of it is random Series 1 figures, literally nothing from Giants all Spyro's Adventure merchandise. If you have one of these around you it may be worth it to check out.

we got darklight crypt here in the community for retail price. ya havent seen series 1 lightning rod and zap ever.since december. we started late, couple more figures and we ll be able to complete our SSA collection. the community here is very nice couple peeps pm me to get our collection get complete
