Saw this on another forum, but checked it out myself in Austin TX. All Skylanders Giants figures are on 40% off clearance at JCPenney's. I picked up a bunch of series 2 reposes for $6 each. They even had Flash Wing, Sprocket, and the Dragon Cannon Pack with ShroomBoom.

This is seriously the best deal around, especially considering that you can get buttons from there, enter them online and get $5, $10 or more certificates. I went there today and got Bouncer completely free with the $10.

Singles are $6, LightCore are $7, Giants are $10 and Battle/Triple are $14. Buying them anywhere else right now is just silly unless they're brand new ones.

tl;dr here.The buttons they have at JCP are just Christmas themed ones. You can get a bunch in store, and then you just take them online and enter the codes. I've entered about 40 some so far and I've gotten like $45 in Holiday coupons. (they expire on the 31st)

They're in increments of $5 or $10 which pretty much cover the cost of the Skylanders. As far as we can tell though, the clearance sale on them (ie, being $6, $7, $10) only lasts until the end of this week.

Picked up the battle cannon for $14, but passed on S2 Trigger Happy and LC Eruptor. That was all my store had.

Hmmm i checked peru illinois JCPenny store and i didnt see skylanders anywhere :/

Really? Their ad for this week has a picture of Crusher, with text stating Giants were $15. I assumed they had all returned to their original price. hmmm.

I still need 3 more guys. Wonder if I can pawn some of the certificates from the parents and go and nab those last ones haha

Thanks to JCP and their clearance Skylanders and buttons...I got all of this:

-All 4 regular Giants triple packs that have been released so far.
-Dragonfire Cannon pack
-Frightrider
-Drill Sergeant
-Lightcore Eruptor
-Lightcore Drobot
-Lightcore Prism Break
-Swarm
-Darklight Crypt
-Camo/Ignitor/Warnado triple pack

For a total of $21.36. That's less than $1 per figure. They also had all of the other giants there at one time or another...including Hot Head, but I already had them. I won a $25 gift card and got all kinds of $5 and $10 off coupons from the buttons.

I'd like to thank the people in this thread that mentioned this great deal. I was going to buy a couple Skylanders for my nephew's birthday, but when I started getting lots of coupons from the buttons I just went all out. Here is what I got so far:



That is Slam Bam, Gill Grunt, Drill Sergeant, Sprocket, Granite Crusher, Terrafin, Flashwing, Double Trouble, Flameslinger, Hex, Fright Rider, Stump Smash, and Swarm. Total paid was $13.07.

But it's complicated and I ended up with $37 credit at Target, so I'm actually ahead. I had several unused coupons on Dec 31st so I was forced to buy a bunch of Lightcore Drobots. I found one Toys R Us that let me exchange a Lightcore Drobot for a Flashwing, but that's against policy and no other store would let me exchange. So I returned the rest to Target and also got a Granite Crusher. Since I'm still about $24 ahead, I'm going to get him the Scorpion Striker Battle Pack too.

I started 3 weeks late and I accidentally lost a couple of my coupons, but I still ended up with this. People who started on Black Friday could have gotten a huge collection of Skylanders for next to nothing.

Did you not read the entire post? Or look at his pic? He said he returned some to Target a you can see the Granite Crusher in the pic.

Wow...This deal was AMAZING. Good God. My eyes are popping out looking at what was received for what was paid in some of these post. JC Penney is all over the place with their new management and it looks like the bargain sniffers found the deal of the century. LOL Probably won't see something like this again next year if the deals were THIS good.

I went to my JC Penney and they had no Skylanders at all and hardly any toys. Damn.
