so i know this is a very random question.

has anyone been buying the figures and not have the game yet? specifically giants?

i didn't buy the game and have all of the giants figures that are new to the series (not series 2 reposes).

i asked for skylanders giants for christmas and went ahead and purchased the figures.

anyone else in my boat?? just curious.

Same. I bought every figure I could prior to the Wii U version being released. I forgot about the release date of Giants until I noticed the huge display at TRU. They were doing buy 1 get 1 for 40% off so I bought everything that was available.

Right here! I have about 30 something character and I don't even have the game. To be honest I'll probably just wait a bit more and then I'll get it. By game I mean both S:SA & S:G. They're both pretty expensive (well one more than the other now) and I really don't want to pay that much money for just one game, so I'll just wait until they get very cheap. On the other side, collecting the figurines is pretty much what got me interested rather than the game.

Bought Pop Fizz, Crusher, and Flashwing before the game. ALso got hot head and Fright rider

i decided to get all of them before the game since i knew that the figures would be harder to find than the game....well at least some of em anyways. Then the day I got the game I found all of wave 2 so i had them all right off the bat when i got the game

I bought Whirlwind from Target about a week before SSA was released. It was the first one I saw, and that "Target Exclusive" sticker made it stand out in front of the other ones so I just nabbed it.

I started getting the figures before I got the game as well (Have it now though) but I did start purchasing them prior to getting it.

I bought Sprocket, Crusher, Chill, and The Legendary Three Pack before I played it! (I had it just hasn't played it)

Bought GITD Fright Rider before i bought the game.

Nope. Always got a version of the game first. Tho I almost got g crush before I got giants. Decided not to. Took me a month before I found him again lol

I have the game now, but I had bought all of wave 1 before buying the game. I wanted to make sure I had the figures I wanted before worrying about dropping another 60 bucks on the game that every store would have plenty of.

For SSA: I got Drill as soon as all the figures came out, then I got the PB, Boomer and Voodood tripple pack.
SG: Still nothing.

I've seen several children from work telling me they only collect the figures because their folks won't let them buy the game for whatever reason.
