Hi everyone =)! I just purchased the Wii U and the Wii U version of the Giants Starter Pack today and I have been having a great time playing it but I'm having an issue. The audio through the normal gameplay is great but when a cinematic plays, it is missing audio and I can't seem to get it to play and sound during any cinematic (movie clip). Anyone else having this issue; I really hope that there isn't something wrong with my copy of the game or the Wii U itself.

Thanks =)

Edit:

Issue solved, thanks everyone for the help:

I fixed it smilie! Okay here is what happened, all I did was change the audio in the settings for the sound effects to be at 80% and the others at 90% but for some reason that is what messed it up. Once I changed everything back to 100%, the audio was working again in the cut-scenes. I'm glad that I was able to find this out on my own before trying to return the game and go through all that hassle.

So everyone who has the Wii U version, DON"T mess with the audio setting just in case. I'm going to call Activision tomorrow about this issue and maybe they can do a system update to fix it but for now, leave everything at 100% volume in the settings.

I've played the PAL version during a pre-release Wii U tour in the UK and that copy had sound a plenty during cut scenes on both TV and Gamepad.

Hmm, that's not good, I hope that this isn't an issue that I am only having. Thanks for the reply =). Maybe something went wrong with the US copies of the game? Was that a demo or full game version that you were playing?

Technically I was playing a non-final version that is (I assume) 99% final. It's good enough to demo to the public has all the levels but has a few minor glitches.

Audio works fine for me and I'm in the US too, so I'm gonna say it's probably your copy of the game, especially if you have working audio during other parts of the game.

I posted a reply in the other thread but depending on how you're connecting (I'm assuming HDMI) then I would try replacing the cable or using a different HDMI port on your TV. I'm not at home to check right now but it might be worth looking in the options. Maybe there's a separate audio setting for the cinematics.

^ Okay, thanks guys. I just checked on my TV and unfortunately, that's the only HDMI port that it has.

I'll try it on the Wii (regular) version. If it happens there it's likely an issue with the whole game, not just yours.
