Home-made Skylander Board Game [CLOSED]

WARNING: LONG RULES
I have not had time to test how well the game runs. So if you try it out, let me know. And if you spot a grammatical mistake, it would be nice to know as well.

I made this when my car broke down in the middle of nowhere and I had nothing better to do.
If you like chess, you will like this BORED game. (Yes, that pun was intended)

~Skyland Stadia~

Related to chess

Objective:
The object of the game is to kill both Magic Skylanders.
After they are both killed, the game is over.

Preperation:
Use a large piece of cardboard, posterboard, ect.
Mark an 8x8 grid. Each square should be bigger than the standard skylander figure base.
Compared to a normal chess board, the squares should be 4 times the normal size of a chess board square.

Rules- (If your collection is not complete, please notice the bottom of post for a smaller version)

Each player roles a die.
This decides who chooses a skylander first.
After the first chooses, the 2 players will take turns choosing.
Each player MUST have 2 of each element on their team.
Once you have 2 of the same element, you may not choose anymore of that element.
This will continue until all 32 skylanders have been put on a team.

Arrange each skylander in a seperate square on your side of the board.
This should fill up 2 rows on each side.
Arrange them in this order, as if looking from your side of the board at your own set, facing your opponent.

After each player has set up, the game will start with rolling to see who goes first.
After this is decided, the player who rolled highest will take their turn.
Each turn, the player is granted 1 move of any skylander that is able to move.
Each element has special ways to move. They MUST follow this, and cannot move any differently.
This is how they each may move. They may only move the EXACT number given. No more, no less.
As an example, a water type cannot move 1 forward. It may ONLY move 2 forward.

Magic-- 1 in any direction.
Water-- 2 straight, or 1 diagonal.
Fire--- 2 Diagonal.
Tech--- Moves with an L shape. 2 straight and 1 straight in a different direction.
OR, 1 straight and 2 straight in a different direction. This MUST form an L path. Exactly like the 'knight' from chess.
Wind--- 1 straight, or 2 diagonal.
Earth-- 2 straight.
Life--- 1 or 2 diagonal.
Undead- 1 or 2 straight.

Each skylander is able to move through another Skylander. However, when you land on top of one, a battle will start.

Battles- (The new concept of this chess like game)

After a Skylander lands on another Skylander with exact moves, a battle will start. The figures will stay on the square (attempting to both fit on it).
The player who started the battle will roll the die. This number will designate what kind of battle it will be.
The mentioned below is what the die numbers will resemble.

1 = Attack
2 = Defense
3 = Speed
4 = Luck
5 = Attack and Defense
6 = Speed and Luck

Alternate rule for this.

1 = Attack and Defense
2 = Attack and Speed
3 = Attack and Luck
4 = Defense and Speed
5 = Defense and Luck
6 = Speed and Luck

The Skylander with the highest stat(s) will win the battle.
The losing Skylander will be removed from the game.

There is a reason for pitting certain elements against each other. Elemental matches will raise the stat of a Skylander in battle by 10.
If there are 2 stats involved, raise it by 20.
But only if it is effective against the opposing Skylanders' element.
The mentioned below is what each element is most effective against.

Magic--> Undead
Water--> Fire
Fire---> Life
Wind---> Tech
Earth--> Wind
Undead-> Earth
Life---> Water
Tech---> Magic

If there is no elemental match, there is no effect on the stats.

Powers- (Special abilities of a skylander outside of battle)

There are only 2 special abilities within the game.
1: If both of your Undead Skylanders are dead, one may be revived.
However, it may only be revived, after both of your Life Skylanders have died.
This ability can ONLY be used if there are 8 or less skylanders left on your team.
If your Undead Skylanders have died, and your Life Skylanders have died, BEFORE you reached 8 skylanders left, this ability will be nullified for the rest of the game.

2: If your Magic Skylander is in a battle, it may use a sacrifice to raise its stat by 10. If there are 2 stats involved, raise it by 20.
This ablity can ONLY be done if there are 8 or more skylanders left on your team.

~Small Game~

Objective:
The object of the game is to kill the Magic Skylander.
After it is killed, the game is over.

Preperation is the same as the big game.

Rules-

All of the same rules apply except...
Each player uses 8 Skylanders instead of 16.
Each team may only have 1 of each element.
The mentioned below is the smaller set up for a game.
|Undead| Life | Wind | Magic|Earth | Fire | Tech | Water|
Abilities requirements are cut in half. Meaning you need 4 or more for the Magic ability, and 4 or less for the Undead ability.

This concludes the Skylander Stadia Rules.

Cool, I can't wait to try this out! It looks fun since I like chess. smilie But I'm missing Wham-Shell, so I might resort to the smaller game.
