Maybe not the second one but maybe the first one. Though I love the first one, I find it very fun personally. ^^

Spike is still hard for me, but I think first Sorceress battle is worse than second

I've got to go with Spike too. When I first played YotD, it was the only boss that could partially enrage me. The first battle with Sorceress was not challenging at all. The hardest part of that battle was using the first cannon accurately. The second Sorceress battle was practically easened version of the third phase of Ripto battle in GtG.

The main problem with this Spike fellow was to get in perfect line with the magma balls so you could charge it 100 percently towards him. The special abilities given by the spiky thing-a-majigs made the rest of the boss quite easy. Well... the blue ones needed aiming of some kind. But Spike is harder than Sorceress battles.
