Soul gems..... [CLOSED]

Anyone notice how the starter soul gems happen to be right before boss battles? For example,Triggs and spyros' soul gems are in the two levels before creepy citadel, arguably the second hardest level.
It's probably to help younger kids beat the minions. This is my first post, ok.

and gills is in the one before the boss fight to get the life source

Well you cant upgrade till you go back to the ruins so it dont really help the first time you battle the kaos minions.
