I have a question to pose to all the other Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure enthusiasts. I am looking for any characters that you know of in the game that can attack enemies that are positioned above them. I am pretty sure that there are only 3 - Flameslinger, Boomer, and Zook. I may be wrong. What have you guys noticed in gameplay? When enemies are throwing things at you from above, how do you attack them? Thanks so much for your thoughts.

^ Sometimes my Whirlwind can reach enemies on the pedestals/watch posts in Zap's heroic challenge with her main attack. Lightning Rod can also reach some enemies with his lightning strike attack and sometimes I can get Sonic Boom to hit them with her egg launch.

There are a few more. Here they are, and the attacks they do it with. Note that these are only the characters who are SUPPOSED to be able to attack upwards, not the ones who can incidentally damage enemies above them with, say, a combo attack like Voodood's Combo A finisher, or the ones who can sometimes do impact damage above them if hit at the right angle, like Spyro's Ibex Wrath charge.

There might be a few more I'm just forgetting about, but this list should be mostly accurate. When enemies are attacking from above, there will usually be a conveniently-placed bomb nearby to toss at them. Other than that, it's often a matter of swapping characters.

Off the top of my head, I know basic Stump Smash can using his primary attack.

Thanks for all the thoughts and replies. Now I know why I was having so much trouble hitting them - all the warriors listed are ones that my kids claim! Lol.

If you have the Anvil Rain magic piece you can always use that for those difficult to reach enemies too. It works great in the heroic challenges. Using the Anvil Rain piece was the only way I could beat Double Trouble's challenge with most of the skylanders

Slam bam using his ice prisons
Bash using his Stone projection
Drill Sargent using his auto blaster
Chop Chop using his cursed bone brambler
Wrecking Ball using his tongue attack

Ghost Roaster entering ectoplasm mode (fear eater)

Spyro can with his soul gem

Also terrafins body slam has surprisingly good vertical range
And camo's watermelons can sometimes hit, depending on how high the enemy is.
