First post so please be gentle!
I currently have 31 of the main 32 characters (last one is on order) but when I go to continue my game, it only shows that I have 30 Skylanders. I've been through them all and checked that I 'own' them and I do. I'm only missing 2 Soul Gems and am only 93% complete but that shouldn't make any difference should it?
It doesn't make any difference to the game in any way it's just a bit frustrating.

BTW, it's the PS3 version.

sometimes that happens to me alot mabey you should put the 2 skylanders on the portal 5 time i think that will work

ive had the smae problem on my ps3 for ages, i am 100% complete have all 37 and it says i only have 35, b4 i bought my ps3 version i had the 3ds version and used my first 2 champions on that, and have since bought them again just in case that was the reason, but alas, no help, i know this does not help you either but i just wanted to have my rant too

You could try manually deleting your saves/global data and starting over and then manually transferring ownership for every figure. It's not really as bad as it sounds. It wouldn't affect your trophies or your character progress, just story mode and it could help with completion percentage. I heard the 360/PS3 versions encounter some glitches if you've already beaten the game. Just a suggestion.

Yeah, I've got a similar problem of owning 31 but being told I have 30 on the PS3 version. I was fine up through having 27 out of 27, it was when I obtained the Cynder/Lightning Rod/Zook triple pack that one of them didn't "fully register" and I ended up with 29 out of 30.

Dunno if it was a problem with one of those characters specifically, or if by that point the novelty of watching a Skylander appear for the first time had worn off and I rushed through the new registration too quickly for the game to keep up. (It might require a few extra seconds after each registration to "+1" your Skylander count.)

All of the figures were new, registered only to me, and haven't ever been used on the 3DS or other versions of the game. I hadn't even gotten around to beating the game at that point, so the registration glitch can't be related to that, either.


Seeing as I ALSO got hit with the glitch missing the trophy for fully maxing out a Skylander's abilities for the first time, I figure I'll do a full restart once Wham-Shell finally makes his way into my hands at retail (or below retail) price. I haven't paid above MSRP on any of them yet, I'm not about to start now!

just keep trying and it will work. thats impressive that you alread are almost done and have 0 gems. which one is the one your missing? I'm missing . i kind of have a topic about it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I got my final Skylander yesterday (Sunburn) yet it is still only showing 31 rather than 32. I even tried using all 32 characters during a run through of the first few levels and still nothing. I plan to get to 100% this weekend and maybe start a new game and reload them all to see of that does anything. Very frustrating!

Try contacting Activision Support. They should be able to help you resolve the issue.
