Has anyone used SkyLanderEditor Version2? I have 64 bit windows 7 and am using the xbox 360 portal to try reading my skylanders, and when I plug it in, it tells me that it can't read the skylander on the portal. It does it with all of them.

Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

EDIT: I want to make it known that I do not condone cheating in any way, and do not intend to use it for cheating. One of my skylanders no longer works on the portal, and I am going to attempt to fix it before replacing it (since it was a hard to find one, and activision won't replace it)

How Did u compile it? I dont undersatnd how to? could you upload the exe file?

wait what there is a program to help cheat in skylanders?

i don't get what's the point.skylanders is an easy game as it is.why would you cheat?

by what he is saying you can take a dud skylander put them on the portal and fix them like in the 3ds version with out the 3ds

As I mentioned in my post, the purpose is not to cheat. One of my skylanders broke, and I found out online that using the program, you can recover it instead of buying a new one.

As for uploading the compiled exe, no I will not as I do not condone cheating. You can google skylandereditorv2 and find it yourself though.

So it has to be the 3ds portal? I can't use the xbox360 one?

By memory, only the XBox portal is not usable on the PC (apart from special dispensation for SLU), you should be able to use a Wii one or a PS3 one?

i cant get skylanders editor v1 or the new v2 to work in a 64bit enviroment. ive only gotten it to work on windows xp 32bit. and if you need to download v2 that has the binary already with it, just google it, its there.

the 360 portal connected to the pc doesnt work with the editor v1 and there is some experimental support in editor v2. i always use either the PC portal, or my 3ds portal plugged in usb. the 3ds portal works best for me, most consistent connections

i made a virtual machine of windows xp 32bit with virtualbox and forward the portal to the USB of the vm system. thats how ive been working with it since im in win7 64bit. ive gotten it to work with that method repeatedly. if you dont have any idea what im talking about. just find an old computer with xp on it and use that.

and i dont think anyone needs to even state their intent with the editor, if its to cheat, fine, if its to safely backup and possibly restore broke skylanders fine, or even if its just cause you want to.

I have used the Editor V2 in 64-bit Windows 7 with the 3DS portal. I have a 360 version on the way, so I'll test that portal next week. What problem are you having exactly? It has been running fine for me.

I had been using the PC portal (even running as administrator) to try skylanders editor. I just tried running as administrator using the 3ds portal. and that worked fine. i guess i have issues using the PC portal and not the editor v2.

itll be great now i dont have to boot up a virtual machine!
