I apologize if there's already a topic on page 3 or something about this, but something's gone wrong with my Portal.

It was working fine about a week ago; I was playing it normally until the light on the side started blinking. Now, I knew that meant the battery was about the die, so I just stopped playing and planned to change it later. So here it is, a week or so later; I just got Lightning Rod in the mail. I change the batteries and put BRAND NEW ones in, fresh out the box. The portal's light still blinks, though, like it's out of batteries and then just turns off.

I have no idea what's wrong with this stupid thing, and I wanna play L. Rod so bad! This has never happened before and I've had it since Christmas. Before I throw it at Activision and demand a new one, any tips or ticks I should try?

I'm afraid I can't be much help to you, beyond the obvious; have you tried re-syncing the portal with the wireless receiver?

ring activision tell them you have tried new batteries straight away as that is the first thing they tell everyone to do, they will then offer a warranty service for you which is either a return it to the shop purchased or b have one shipped from activision at cost of postage (not 100% sure on the postage but it would most likely be the case), this is only if the people who exploited the warranty service have not made it harder for us honest people

Thank you for your suggestions. I see the USB connector was pushed into the wall too hard, making it crooked and unresponsive. It looked fine before, haha. But thanks all the same. I'll just close this now.
