Hello all

I am currently playing on the Wii system but was thinking of buying or borrowing someones PS3 version to expand my trophy collection.

My question: Is it possible to achive a platinum throphy with this version or are there glitches that prevent this from happening?

Just don't feel like wasting time or money to try for something if it isn't possible.

It is possible to achieve the platinum trophy. Me and my son have done it. There are a couple of trophies that can glitch but there are work arounds if that happens. The trophy for buying all the upgrades for any skylander glitched on us but we were able to save our game to a USB key, delete the game save off the playstation, then we started a new game and reset Chop Chop, completed level three to be able to get upgrades, bought all upgrades for Chop Chop to unlock the trophy then restored our save file from the USB key with our 100% completion. This was the only trophy we had a problem with.

Bleah. I was afraid of that. I unlocked all upgrades for Hex the other day and didn't get the trophy for it - I was hoping it might trigger if I did it again with another Skylander along the way, but it doesn't sound like that's going to be the case.

Ah, well. I'll ignore that problem for now and if I manage to get all the other ones along the way, I'll go through the hassle of moving the save, restarting and getting all the upgrades again. No point in doing it before I manage One For All, after all.

Did this also give you the last Grand Admiral Accolade in game?

Very possible. We have it on ours. The only trophy to watch out for is "Gotta Buy 'Em All," and that one glitches unless the same player (Player 1) purchases every upgrade for said character the first time through. If Player 2 does anything with the first Skylander you max abilities on, you have to do the work-around jastrem specified.

That can't be the only cause of the glitch, as my version of the game has only been played as a single player game, and it still glitched.

The only thing I can think of that was out of the ordinary on my session is that I actually had all the purchases done for Hex (except for the soul gem). I had the money to afford the final purchase but didn't actually have the gem (hadn't reached far enough in the story to get it). Maybe the act of trying to do the final purchase with the proper money but without the proper item confused the trophy check somehow. <Shrug> Dunno.

I'd suggest trying to max out someone who you already have the Soul Gem for, and not leaving the Soul Gem purchase as your final one, just in case.
