well, i think that since Hunter returns in DOTD, that Bentley, Sgt. Byrd, Sheila, and Agent 9 will also return...

Hunter from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Spyro 2: Gateway To Glimmer is said to be in the next Legend Of Spyro game, but the game designers for this game have already said that this game is an entirely new storyline, and is not based on past Spyro games. But you never know what the next game will bring until it comes out.

also, if u think about some of the characters can very well be related to others

Ignitus- (i cant quite remember what his name is, but the dragon in the original spyro that u release first...)
