My wife's game has it, but mine doesn't. Really odd.
No matter what I hit the rock to his right with, it does nothing.

She's telling me there's a Winged Sapphire when you pop it for cash too, so I'm trying to figure out how to get it active, but for some reason it just won't show the sparkly ball of doom. Are there any suggestions why it isn't showing, or what I can do to make it show? (I just got the Eternal Undead Source for progress reference).

Edit: With research, I've seen it referred to as the "Elemental Totem" but have as of yet not found a reason why it would not appear. In fact, according to most references, you should be able to activate it starting when you first arrive in the ruins. Still can't do anything with it - the rock just sits there and does nothing when hit.

I remember it starting a decent way through the story pprogression, so if you're tarting a new game and it doesn't work yet, don't worry. I'm thinking it all activates after you get the first elemental source because the tower/totem pole deactivates after every new source is obtained. Hang in there, it'll activate eventually.

Yeah, I don't think it starts until after Arbo appears (so, until Chapter 10). At least, that's when I remember it appearing.

That's the thing. I've gotten all sources up to the Undead one in my game.
Arbo's been there. I'm at like 68% completion, and still no Elemental Totem.

I'm starting to worry that only the first game gets it... My wife and I use the same profile (PS3)

We just brought the game over to my neice and nephew's place today and started a new game there. When you arrive at the ruins for the first time, the totem appears with first three elements (Magic, Water and Tech).

The same thing happened to me! Question did you have any of the skylanders in the starter elements?

I've had the Elemental Tower show up after an Eternal Source is reclaimed and one at the beginning. I have both the three basics registered as well as the other elements registered in my game so unsure if not having those affects its appearance.

On my game, it won't show up now tht I beat the game.

It depends if you knocked it down then you must complete a certain level and it should come back with an other element

The other Top element is based on the element of the Skylander used to finish said chapter.
