It gives him his soul back.

He plays a mean sax.

(It makes enemies turn into crystals when you defeat him, so your beams will refract and damage a wider area)

It's one of the many underwhelming soul gem abilities tbh.

It doesn't do anything at all in PVP, but turning weaker enemies into a mass of crystals can be rather satisfying and effective in PVE. They do get in the way, though. You do not walk right through this mass of crystals, and might find yourself frustrated at having to break them yourself to get through a room. This ability makes Prism Break a pain to co-op with.

They completely get in the way! I liked him at first, but quickly lost interest. The lasers are strong, but he is so slow when he shoots them. Also, he has a terrible turning radius and I constantly get attacked from the rear before I can turn him around. The lasers could shoot just a little further too for that matter......

Another ability I do not understand is smilie spectral shield. What does it do. Everytime I use it it is like a longer range but regular shield bash.

It turns smaller enemies into crystals when you defeat them, which can be good if you want more crystals to reflect his beam attack. The downside is those crystals may get in your way however.

Glad I read this... I was literally going to buy this tomorrow morning as I thought it turned enemies in to money. I was then going to finance the last two upgrades on Prismancer... now I know to not buy it now or skip it altogether.

after reading this post i upgraded my prism break, and i HATE the soul gem power. it gets in the way whenever youre zapping enemies. i wish i could unbuy it, i may reset prism break just because i hate that the soul gem power so much.

Try the Drobot purple chompie heroic challenge with this upgrade.

It's doable but painful!!

Took about 30 attempts.
