sorry if this topic already exist, but im going to pick u the volcanic vault from best buy, but i gotta buy some doubles of some characters. who do you recommend having two of? which characters have two really good paths to take, im open to any considerations. thanks

sweet, i thought about getting the 3pack with him and stumpy in it are either of the other two worth having for the other path? any other recommendations?

With remodels coming out with Giants, I really don't think its worth getting duplicates. I know 4-8 current figures won't be resculpted and we don't know who those figures are. Once we know who those figures are, it may help you make the decision. The reality is that once those figures are known, their aftermarket price will go up. Good place to look for cheaper figures would be used figures (Craig's List).

why stealth elf? to have two character with the same path? because forest ninja sucks badly
if you duplicates go with the character you like most and you want try both paths at the same time. for me is trigger happy because i love golden frenzy but also moneybags is very fun

Yeah, right now it doesn't really seem necessary to get doubles since the ones getting remodels will be able to be used on both the original and Giants.

That being said, basically the characters who can be good on both paths would be good to have multiples of. Cynder, Lightning Rod, Bash and Voodood come to mind.

Cynder is the primary example. Both paths are excellent, and are diverse enough to not quite seem like the same character. Voodood, Bash, Flameslinger, Trigger Happy, and Spyro all have paths that are close to as good as one another, with the dominant path having merely a slight edge. From what I hear, Camo is good down both paths too, as is Warnado, but I can't substantiate that yet.

Someone I know, who checked out Warnado's Wind Master path, said it blows chunks. He calls it the biggest DERP ever with a Skylander. You get to control the twisters until you buy another move that takes away that control, only to be replaced by AI which will kill one enemy and then stand around.

I would wait for the reprint but i have them all and want to get volcanic vault and have to buy doubles(i could just return them no big deal) but thought some chacters down other paths would be cool, thanks for the input everyone

Do you have any interest in painting your figures? You could buy the ones you want to paint.

Like everyone else says: I wouldn't personally get any doubles to play with until Giants come out. I was going to get the Zook triple and keep the extra Cynder it would get me to run the other path but decided against it because of the reposes. But seeing as you want to spend money to get the VV... do you know anyone who plays? If you do see what they need and offer to sell them at cost. If I needed to spend money on Skylanders I would see if my neighbour's son wanted any.
