I had to open a new account had account long time ago but my email it was hook to is no longer active. But anyway, people have join this site for skylanders, but the fact is this is a spyro fan site. My opinion they need to band people that are talking bull on her about spyro. Cause it pisses off a lot of spyro fans. And all these little kids on here for skylanders.

Skylanders is in the general interest of many people, and they're allowed to talk about whatever they like. That's what a forum is. Spyro in Skylanders is no different than Spyro in TLoS series and it doesn't matter if they care for him or not either. Honestly, I still treat all of the Skylanders as being extensions of the Spyro universe similar to Agent 9, Bentley, etc.

And this is coming from someone who owns about 80% of all the Spyro games released.

I agree with you Quan, think they need to separate skylanders from this website. It's not fair to the true hard core fans of spyro.

I think a real fan of Spyro wouldn't be so uptight about being "true and hardcore" and just enjoy the Spyro they have or respect the one that's out now, happy that more people can enjoy Spyro.

A forum is a place to share opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own, even if the said opinion differs from your own. If you don't like their opinion, don't read the thread! That being said, I respectfully disagree with the OPs opinion, but I do accept his right to type it and post it. Spyro rocks, Skylanders is a tight game with ground breaking ... ish technology (they're basically just RF tags with a new idea for their use). Anyways, enjoy the games and let others enjoy them as they see fit.

TLoS Spyro is a bigger "mockery" than Skylanders is, as in it was the biggest, most alienating form of departure for the series in an attempt to make a serious and gritty reboot and be barely related to the previous form the franchise except by name.

Skylanders is a more return to roots in making a fun, whimsical, light-hearted fantasy game catered to all ages about a dragon who's out to burn and run into things to save the world. Plus the 3DS version is a lot more like classic Spyro in spirit in terms of gameplay.

^ Am I the only one that's having a hard time understanding this post? Anyway what does age have to do with anything? I was only seven when I completed the first three Spyro games and I was already a huge fan of the series.

I really don't think that banning Spyro haters would be a good idea. People are entitled to their own opinions. They might have joined this site because they like the game and its other characters, and not Spyro, who knows.

I played Spyro when I was in second grade, and considering the fact that I'm 20 years old now, that was a while ago. Before some of the people on these forums were even born.

It really upset me when Spyro shifted hands so many times and it seemed like a Spyro game wouldn't be made again. It even upset me when the movie got canceled. I figured it would be, but I thought the style of LoS was cool enough. LoS wasn't that bad in my opinion. I know it was a reboot of the series, but compared to a Hero's Tail, I felt like LoS gave the game more form. Not in the way I was used to with the originals (as in the Playstation 1 games), but it wasn't all that terrible if you looked at it from a reboot perspective.

I actually bought Skylanders because Spyro was linked to the title. Congrats, Activision, you lured me in. I'm sure they got at least a handful of customers because of the game's title. Furthermore, I even wanted just the Spyro figures in the beginning. So when I saw the Legendary Triple Pack, I bought it because it had Spyro in it (which was convienent because the pack was impossible to find a few months later). I didn't go so far as to purchase the 3DS version (primarily because I don't have a 3DS), but you get the picture.

In the end, I love that purple dragon. I'll admit I even cried at the end of LoS because I thought he was dead. I'll play any game he's in without question and if I think it sucks, then that's all. I'll still play whatever game he's in next.

If anyone would like to pay attention to the tagline it shows when you first enter dS, it says "darkSpyro - A Spyro the Dragon and Skylanders Fansite".

It did. Spyro wouldn't be near as popular as he is today if it wasn't for Skylanders, since crappy LoS didn't reel in enough fans or money.

The point is most people that grew up with spyro mainly got it for spyro and they didn't even make a story line around him. I like skylanders it's a good game. But spyro shouldn't be in the title. And the age thing that Quan said. He Ment all the little kids playing this that most haven't even played a real spyro game and saying they hate spyro. They need to take the skylanders off this website and make its own forum website for it. Is that what u Ment Quan?

Miss smart butt I'm 22 I have played every single spyro game ever made. Beat every single one 100% completion. I'm a perfectionist. Everything must be completed and done. And spyro didn't need any help, the true fans stay. I played skylanders 100% completion. Now I just collect all of them. I have played every chacter even the ones not out. Actually LevanJess was just stating a fact.

And this whole "kids versus adults" thing is ridiculous. If you come on a forum where almost half of the participating members are fans of a game designed to target children, you're going to be met with some kids.

Your statement is also entirely contradictory: "I respect his opinion as well as everyone else's. But kids are always being childish..." You say you respect everyone and then make a negative blanket statement. Not to mention I've seen a handful of mature "kids" on this site, so you can't even use "always."

This whole thing has gone lame. I thought we were talking about Spyro and Skylanders. Not trying to bash one another up and down. Geez. If anyone here was an "adult," they'd know to act their age and be mature.

I just can't stand to see people waving the fact that they're an adult over other's heads, especially on a forum. It's like: Who cares? I myself am an adult, but I don't sit there and try to start stupid fights with other people just because they're younger.

I think topics can't be closed until an hour of their creation, and then I think you can't close it unless stopped posting in them for about 5 minutes or so. Though I'm probably wrong, I'm quite forgetful..
