Terrafin is a powerhouse but he's a little clunky to control especially when played defensively in the Sandhog path, while burrowing Terrafin suffers from understeer whereas Stealth Elf is much more responsive and can change direction at the drop of a hat.

Stealth Elf can run in, kick butt, then run away. Terrafin, though invulnerable whilst underground cannot stay there indeffinately and does minimal damage when burrowing, Stealth Elf's regen power can completely eliminate any damage that Terrafin's fin does to her but just avoiding him a little which, due to his slow surface speed and poor control underground, is not hard.

upgrade paths are the thing. terrafin win against a forest ninja stealth elf, but brawler loose very easily against a pook blade saint. the real match is sandhogVSpook blade and i think only players' skill really matter in such a match.
