It depends of what is the beginning of the game, it might ask you directly to put a giant on it

The game will probably ask you to put a Giant on it first. If not however, probably Spyro just like S:SA.

Probably Spyro. Depending on if they're going to actually have a lot of stock out at that time, I'll more than likely use whatever Giant comes with the game (Probably TreeRex)

If I'm not forced to use a Giant or one of the included starter pack Skylanders, than I am most likely going to start off as a new Skylander like the bird one or I might use one of my current low leveled characters such as Dark Spyro or my extra Whirlwind and Drill Sergeant that I havn't played with yet.

Legendary Spyro, Dark Spyro, or Spyro. SOME FORM of Spyro, it's the right and just thing to do.

Although since the starter pack COMES with a giant, there will probably be a forced first section with Tree Rex or whatever other Giants you have at release.

Probably Voodood, hes my "go to guy" and hes slow.... when i first pop in the new game, i wanna slow skylander to just enjoy the level, take it all in. I dont want to run through the first level with a fast skylander lol

It's dependent on what the game storyline dictates and also what new Skylanders are out there to start with. I'd love to use the new Air element Skylander initially, but if it's not available, that won't be a choice!

As much as I love Spyro, if he is the returning repositioned character he will not be used at all. So, I'll use a Giant or the new Skylander if it's cute.

Though, neither the giant nor new skylander will probably be cute so I'll use the original Spyro.

the giant that comes with the came, if there is a new charcter him next, then if there is a light force I will use him next, then a remodled follwed by the old version of the character to compare them.
