nice, it's brief, but you can make it even brief-er, only show like 30 seconds before getting an item, and maybe 5 seconds after. no need to show what's actually on the scroll, what the hat's stats are, ect.

and i don't think you need to show everything in the actual gates, just opening the present and the entrance to the gate

You should show the location of the 3 treasure chests, as well. Some of those are well hidden in certain levels.
