Can anyone help my little boy was on level 22 last played few days ago went on skylanders before to play and it has gone back to start level 1 .he is in tears . .havent a clue what's happened or why ???

He probably deleted the data.

He said he hasn't and was that upset .the game freezers a lot and he said it froze when he was near the end of level 22 so he turned it off and hasn't played it since

I haven't a clue and just asked my boy and he said he doesn't know

Depending on how he turned it off when it froze it possible the save file became corrupted. Not sure what system you are using, as I've had Xbox files have issue far more often then PS3 ones. Not sure on Wii has I never owned the one I had long enough to experience any issues. Did he only have one save file active and he's sure he didnt accidently open the wrong one?

When you select your game save, does it say X% completed, or is it back to 0%? if it's back to 0, he may have accidentally deleted the save.

Possibly, the data on the actual system could have been deleted on accident as well. Check and see if there's save data on the console. If not, though, I'm afraid I don't know what's wrong..

We do know that around the levels with the Weapons Master will prevent you from talking to him if you don't continue, but there shouldn't have been anything wrong with the Lair of Kaos.

If nothing else works though, try contacting Activision. They should be able to at least help you out, but your grandson might have to play all over again.

It sounds to me like a corrupted file. The same thing happened to me a dozen times in Spyro: A Hero's Tail.

I would contact Activision Support. Tell them what your problem is and they should be able to help.

He only had one file saved .ill check it again tomorrow atleast I'll have a few days peace and quiet while he starts all over again.its just upsetting for him cos he only 7 .

I'd say thats a little harsh. Yes, its a true statement but its not like he's saying he didnt to avoid punishment. Its his own save file. I'm still likely to say it got corrupted when he turned off the system when it was frozen.

What I always do with my save files, is back them up.

On Wii, I keep a 2 gig SD Card in the SD Card slot. Every so often, I will copy my save data to it, for backup. Likewise on 360. I have a USB drive with 512 mb free on it, that I backup my saves to. I also make a copy to Cloud Storage on 360, so my saves are saved to a server.

It is most likely lost. If you have a Wii, I would invest in a SD Card of any size, to backup save files. If it's on 360, any thumb drive can be made to work on 360, and you can keep it away from him, incase he accidentally deletes any further save files.

What system does he play on?

I will from now on .its never happened to any other games he has played and saved . He just loves playing skylanders and plays every spare min he is allowed too plus all his friends have it so think its a bit of a comp going on to see who is on the higher level ha ha

well, it could happen to a 7 years old =/ And would be better if it's "just" that.

But yeah, my X360 is flawless, but I bought it like 6 months ago so it might be why.

I accidently wrote over our 100% save game once on our Xbox. My boy didn't get a chance to cry over my "Nooooooooo!!!!!" as I realized what I had done.
I think I cried.
