I have never reset a figure. I'm of the strong impression that to do so means restoring him to factory default. I.e., no cash, level 0

Although I've never seen anyone express it that way.

If that's true, I'm of a mind to simply wait for a second figure of the same champion and just level them up the other path.

This is actually going into practice at my house now, because my daughter just got a second Sonic Boom thanks to a recent threepack purchase (First SB was a reward for helping around the house and purchased as a single).

I myself will be purchasing a second Prism Break eventually (at $7.99 when the fates smile) so that I can do both paths AND so I can customize one of them with yellow crystals.

I figure one for PVE and the other for PVP.

It would be different if respecing a champion was as easy as it is in the game World of Warcraft. Where you pay a little fee and only have your talent tree reset. I don't think anyone would ever respec in WoW if they had to grind from the start.

Well, it's not level 0. There is no level 0. You start back at level 1 with no cash and only your two initial attacks.

It doesn't take long to level them back up. I did it with Eruptor (went down Volcanor path the 2nd time) and put him through a couple of levels in the game and a bunch of heroic challenges, and he was level 8. The final two levels are gravy.

And if you've got the pirate seas expansion set (and a Wii), you can jack up your cash pretty quickly.
