I'll probably be buying only one Adventure Pack per month, so I'd like to know what makes the best chronology for flow in regards to these packs?

If someone could give an order to buy them and their reasons for that order I would appreciate it.

Well, it's not physically possible to find the Adven. Packs right when they come out, especially EoI right now.

Good luck, since it's gonna be really hard.

I should state that we won't as a family be getting the Adventure packs until we fill out the whole collection of champs that you can get outside the packs first. So, there's no rush to get then yet, especially since all the figures aren't even out yet.

They are getting a little better about having these in stock. Wednesday night Wal-mart had 3 Darklight, 2 Pirate and 1 Empire of Ice. When I left they didn't have EoI anymore, haha.

EoI is pretty fun but Slam Bam is definitely the greatest perk in pack. He is really fun to play as and seems to be pretty dominant in battle mode. I only beat my son a few times the other night when he strictly played as him.

I will take that under advisement. It's hard to believe that there isn't a "flow" to the packs that would make them seem ordered in some way, but then I guess the fact that there isn't a flow is a good design from a marketing point of view.

I guess we'll just buy the packs as we come across them. I wonder what that order will eventually be when the time finally comes...

For me, if I was going to choose an order I'd just go in the order they were released. So:

Pirates, Crypts, Ice then Peak.

The story of the EoI level doesn't correlate at all with the overall story of the game...Just gives another level to stomp around in, which was a bit disappointing. Probably why the 'Landers in these APs will be more worth the money than the levels.

I suppose that the packs are pasted on because marketing didn't want consumers to feel obligated to buy the packs if they didn't really want them.

Still, it would be nice if the segue into the packs was seemless.

I do think I'll take your advice and buy them in that exact order. Seems like a good idea to me.

I've seen the adventure packs show up online from time to time at regular retail price. Like everything else Skylanders, it's a waiting game. Patience will win the day you'll see.

Like everyone said, there is no best particular order to play the boards in. I would base my choice off of the Champs/Items. My favorite item is the Secret Treasure Chest from Pirate Seas. During each chapter there are somewhere between three and five bonus chests (not sure of the exact number). That is like 600-1500 gold depending on the stage. If you are playing the Wii, you even get unlimited bonus chests in the Ruins. (take the chest off and put it back on the Portal and it will re-appear OR talk to someone and it will re-appear in the same place).

For the record: I seem to have no problems leveling the guys up, but I reach Level 10 before I bought all the Upgrades. So Gold is my biggest issue.

Unfortunately once you have all the upgrades gold has no value any longer. Unless you want to keep switching paths, then I can see it coming in quite handy.

As for our family, we're going to buy doubles for those few characters that we want to have both paths for. Still, the chest does sound nifty.

I tend to agree with you here. We've often thought how great it would be to have it on chapters where all of our favorite champions are down to their last drops of health and there's no food items left for any of them to snag.

This is because we play where if a skylander is low on health, we take them off the portal and search for food on a full champion then swap back to fill the dying one back up.

But even so sometimes we'll lose one or all our "faves" and have to resort to restarting the chapter or using s champion from another's "collection".

According to the ingame chapter numbers, Empire of Ice is first (Ch. 23) then Darklight Crypt (Ch. 24) and then Pirate Seas (Ch. 25). Though, their storylines don't go through each other, I found playing Darklight Crypt is best, because the baker molekin will put those Pies in all the levels you play after, which can be extremely useful in some places.

Pirate Seas really doesn't have a "bonus" or anything, except for the ship appearing in the docks, and you can play the matching game to get a few coins. From what I've seen, EoI does nothing in terms of bonuses, although someone mentioned that placing it on the portal in a random level will make icicles rain down upon enemies, which actually sounds pretty cool.

I would advise you to get the newest adventure pack available because they wil have the shortest shelf life. I got pirate seas and darklight crypt on the same day and I beat them both before realizing that they are bonus chapters after the fall of chaos which is kind of cool now that I think about it but at the time I was like man this story jumps around a lot. I thought the 2 adventure packs stuck out like a sore thumb. but now I appriciate them and I listed slambam as owned but I'm actually waiting for him to arrive in the mail which will be today so yay.

All Bonus Level Items rain down projectiles when you put them on the Portal during a Chapter. Pirate Seas - Cannon Balls; Darklight Crypt - Ghosts.

Hmmmm, these packs sound extraordinarily fun. I might have to amend that "wait until the collection is complete" mission and buy these sooner.

Pirate Seas first. Terrafin is the best Adventure Pack character, Pirate Hat is the best Adventure pack prize. As for the other two... Darklight Crypt is the more inventive from a gameplay perspective, and both characters are about evenly useful overall.

I found Pirate Seas to be the worst out of the adventure packs. Although Terrafin has been the best Character from one of them and the magic item fighting swords is really helpful!!!!!

My order would be: Dark light Crypt, then Empire of Ice, then Pirate Seas.
Not sure where Dragon Peak will be in my list?

Well, interestingly enough I was presented with all three packs (Empire of Ice, Crypt and the Pirate one) on Gamestop.com.

I immediately put EoI in my cart because, well everyone is saying they can't find that one (although I've not seen ANY myself so they're all like that to me). Unfortunately EoI wouldn't go through checkout. Even though I could still add it to my cart I kept getting an error that there weren't any left.

So, I had to choose between the Pirate and the Crypt.

I chose the Crypt. Most of our Skylanders are fully upgraded and so money is less important than it was before (chest) and I decided that the healing potion would be the most useful thing to have between the two sets.

Also, since Ghost Roaster is earmarked for MY collection (as opposed to either of my kids') it makes more sense because both of them have run out of money and there's really nothing around the house for them to earn anything from right now.

If I had gotten the ship (Terrafin is allocated to my daughter), the pack would remain unopened until such a time as there was money in her piggy bank or there was a household chore (a significant one considering it's a whole pack and not just a figure) before it would get opened and used by anyone.

Does it matter? Dragons Peak isn't out yet! so why do we need to compare it to the other adventure packs when we have no clue what its like!!!

Best order? The order in which you find them on the shelf.
