Hi i just got the PC version today and after all the installing i was ready to play it started up all fine and got to the part were you meet Hugo for the first time i put my skylander on the portal and it shows up fine. but when i go to move or do any attacks it doesn't work the only keys that work are space bar, right mouse click, k and l all of them bring up a 2nd player screen saying to place skylander on the portal and the L lets me go back that's it. has anyone else had this problem and/or knows how to fix it please let me know thanks

do you have a game pad plugged into your computer? thats what it sounds like is going on. if not, go into the settings and setup the keyboard keys manually or restore to default.

The chances are you just weren't pushing the right buttons, so here's a list (I'm going by memory so I may have forgotten something but oh well)

The keys you use for playing the game are:

W and ↑ = Forward
A and ← = Left
S and ↓ = Backwards
D and → = Right

J, K, L, and left/right click = Various attacks
I= Talk
Scroll wheel= Talk
B= Character info.

If these don't work then e-mail activision. Or maybe there's a problem with your keyboard. is it wireless?

My only problem with it was lag, the other problem could be that it has hidden secure rom on it -.- All that does is lag it for the legit people like myself who bought it.

I do Know the buttons they are on the 2nd page of the book lol. i do not have a game pad plugged in and I am on my laptop and the keyboard works fine. I tried the setting but it does not let you change the keyboard buttons just the game pads settings you can change.

Actually the PC Version of Skylanders has a habbit of setting its graphics settings very high as default unless you change them yourself, which can cause lag.
You might be able to stop lag and speed the game right up by going to the options screen in the main menu (that means not in-game), going to "Display" and changing the graphics quality to "Low" and maybe turning down the resolution.

If you're going to try that jacksena's suggestion, use something like Ad Aware. I'd be very cautious about following suspicious links.
