This thing is puzzling me.
After playing to achieve 62% of the game so far, and having 24 different skylanders, the saved game in my Wii just show me "5 skylanders". So, there's just 5 Cali challenges available to play with any skylander (have to use other skylander than those available, to be able to play that particular challenge).
In the video collections only have 2 unmarked, but only 5 skylanders avatars are shown. The same 5 available for challenges.

Question is: How can I have all my skylanders shown in the saved game description?

Have you set your Skylanders so that you're the owner of them? To do that, you select ownership on the Skylander's options menu.

Yea, take ownership of the figures through the menu for the characters. I neglected to do this a while back and had the same question. Once I figured it out, all kinds of stuff popped up.

Same happened to me make sure to set ownership in the Skylanders Manage menu.

To clarify, owning the figs in one saved game does not mean that they are considered "owned" in another saved game.

Hence, re-establish ownership in every saved game you create; the prior saved games won't care and still think you own the chars in them, as well.

Like everyone else said, make sure you actually have "ownership" of the Champion in that particular save file.

When I first saw the take ownership option I had assumed that would be for if I traded someone for a used figure and had to set it to my saved game. Figured when they did not show up in my second save game that if I took ownership there then I would lose them in the other saved game. Seemed kind of dumb that it would happen but that is what I thought, but then it seems kind of dumb that I have to take ownership in every new save game too...

If you have the Wii version like me press the - and then go to the last page and press on ownership and select yes.

"Ownership" was one of those options that I had just looked at (seems 5 times) and neglected after.
There's so much in this game to look for!...
Now I know what is his purpose.
