Hey gang,

I'm just ploughing through Darklight Crypt with the Hidden Treasures item on the portal and I noticed that I can't get any of the chests. They appear as regular chests and, when I stand on them, they just hover above me and I can't open them. Has anyone found a fix for this?

I'm on the PS3 version BTW.

I think the chest counts for a Treasure Chest in the level, so if you haven't found them yet, they'll appear there instead. (i think they also count for the ones that are found in the level, so you can use them for completion.

Maybe try taking it off until you finish the level?

I have the hidden treasure and I use it all the time throughout levels and nothing bad has ever happened

I'm going through the game to 3 star all the levels right now and dark light crypt is one of two levels left for me. I'm having the same problem with the treasure chest right now. Any fix?

It's a special item that comes with the Pirate Seas Adventure pack. If you put it on the portal in a level it will make a treasure chest appear but you have to hunt for it.

I swear I have found all three treasure chests in this level (my son and I have gone through it a number of times, and we have the guide), but it says we are still missing one. Are you saying that if I put that treasure chest on the portal and find the treasure, that it will count toward completion on this level? Is that a glitch?

I believe so, but I've never tested it.

I'm not really 100% where the chests are in this level. I know I had a problem with one of the levels where the chest was hidden in a dark part of the level and I never saw it. haha

I have had this issue two separate times, in two separate places. First of all, when you walk up on it, you can actually see the chest. It's not completely under the ground. When you stand on it, it raises above you (just slightly). When you wiggle the stick (Xbox), it raises higher and makes the noise that it would when the locks are coming off. Unfortunately, no locks come off and the chest doesn't open. I had this happen half way through the level, where you go through a gate to the right and switch to the real world, then go back and battle the trees. Also had this happen at the end of the level (after defeating the eye), when I went back across the bridge and went to the right, which opens after you are finished...... Could be an Xbox glitch, like the enemy goal in a couple of the later levels?

It is possible that you can only open the chests in the real world... the actual level treasure chests in Darklight Crypt won't open in the ghost world iirc... have you tried changing back to the real world to open the chest? Or if you tried in the real world how about trying in the ghost world? Just a thought... it has got to be worth a try

I had the same thing happen (PS3) when I first ran through the crypt. The bonus chest does not count towards the level chests, we just started the level over without it on in order to get all the chests. I can't watch the video, but for us, the chests were sort of in the ground and would raise a little when you walked over them, but you couldn't shake them to open them up.

I'd say to try it again without the hidden treasure toy and see if that helps at all.

I haven't seen this problem on the Wii.
