Another trophy-based topic, guys smilie

I know that this trophy/achievement is glitched but what's the best way to get it? At first I thought it meant I had to get a character all the way to the Soul Gem ability, reset then take the other path, but that didn't work.

What's the best way to get it? Save for "Get all other trophies" I have all of the trophies >.<

Don't you need all 32 figures? Not including the legendaries or Dark Spyro? Pretty sure you can't get all trophies without this.

Hmm, I don't think so... I have left:

True Portal Master: Unlock all other trophies
Gotta buy them all: Purchase all upgrades for any one Skylander

I don't have the XBox version yet but have read about this glitch.

Please refer to the bottom few posts on

http://www.xbox360achievements...y-them-all.html

They discuss how Activision suggest getting around it.

The YouTube video a few posts earlier also demonstrates the same thing but it contains adult language so is not recommended for children.

Well I have this problem too... And I did nothing wrong, alkl the toys were mine and none were used on the webworld (just the webcode). Sooo... I'm about to try this thing about removing my saved game and all =/

Yeah, it's a known glitch. The only way to get it without it glitching is to use your very first Skylander the whole way through (never use another Skylander until you purchase all the upgrades for that original one). Otherwise you have do the work around mentioned in the earlier post. I have the achievement and it was a pain to get.

Sony and Microsoft have a policy that you have to be able to get all the original achievements/trophies with what comes with the game. You can't be forced to buy DLC or in this case more Skylanders to get all the achievements.

Just so you guys know, the glitch can be resolved on the PS3 in the same way as on the 360, but you have to have PlaystationPlus to be able to copy save data to an external memory device... thankfully I'm still on my 90-day trial smilie

Ok on the 360 if you don't select a drive location to load a save game it'll still let you play but you have to start from scratch and you can't save the game progress... I bet if you start a new game like that and play the levels till you can buy the final upgrade for a char it would also work to unlock the achievement without having to move around save game files. I might try this over the weekend if I have time.

I know ours glitched the first time, we did it with Flame Slinger the first time and it wouldnt give us the achievement, so like a week later my husband didnt like his Prism Breaks path and reset him and went the other way and we got the trophy. Wierd lol.

If you have leveled up multiple Skylanders all of the way and still have not received the achievement, then this may be an issue with your save.

Please note the following "fix" is not officially supported by Activision. This has been known to solve this issue for some people and may be able to resolve this issue for you.

1. You need to have 1 Skylander that is 1 upgrade from having everything unlocked. Please note that the upgrade cannot be the one that requires the Soul Gem.

2. You need to have a USB/external memory unit for your XBox 360

To resolve this issue;
(in the XBox 360 Home Screen)
Select Settings > System > Memory > Storage > Games and Apps > Skylanders:
Select Settings > System > Memory > Storage > Games and Apps > Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. You will need to take your save file, and move it to your external memory unit. Once this is done, there should be no saved data in the Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure folder.

Once this is done, launch the game and it will be as though you have started from scratch. You will need to play to the point where you save Persephone, and can once again purchase Upgrades. Once you purchase the final upgrade (that does not include the required Soul Gem), you should unlock the "Gotta Buy Em All" achievement.

Once you have the achievement, you can once again move your Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure save data from your memory unit, back to your hard drive. This will allow you to continue from your original


All I'm saying is that rather than moving your save game around I bet you can achieve the same results by:
When starting the game it will prompts you to select where your save game is(hard drive, cloud,usb drive) you just hit B and cancel out of that selection.
When you do this and go into play the Adventure level it will look like you have no save games and force you to start a new game to play(it also doesn't actually save progress in this case once you leave).

Follow the instructions about playing to the point of getting to Persephone where you can purchase upgrades and then buy the last upgrade(needs to be an upgrade that doesn't requires the Soul Gem according to above).

I'm guessing this should allow you to unlock the achievement as well but without the nastiness of actually moving your save game. No guaranteeing but I'll probably try this myself over the weekend and report back.

I think the glitch only comes about if you switch Skylanders at all in the game.

For example, if your first Skylander is Spyro and you change to Gill Grunt to open the water gate on the first level then you can't get the achievement.

I made a point of not switching out Wrecking Ball once while playing through the new game and it worked for me, sooo...

Hurrah! I was hoping to find a solution before I encountered the issue...

Those sap Wii players (ahem, me!) don't know what they are missing with no achievements.

Well alternate way to get around the bug that I suggested didn't work... I guess I'll have to do the whole file move thing method at some point with another character...

I had that problem on the PS3 version of the game, I didn't get the trophy until I maxed out my Legendary Spyro's moves. And since the game sees L-Spyro as just a re-colored Spyro with some higher stats, I'm wondering if the problem is just that you just have to max out one of your STARTER Skylanders, rather then any of the others...
