Dark Spyro and Legendary Spyro - whats the difference? [CLOSED]

I'm getting Dark Spyro with the 3DS version and have ordered Legendary Spyro from eBay but what is the difference between the two?

Also, Is Dark Spyro and different to regular Spyro?

L. Spyro is stronger and has better stats.

I think it's the same way w/ Dark Spyro.

Dark Spyro is the same as regular Spyro then? Except for appearance?

Also with the non 3DS versions there is only one heroic challenge for Spyro so you only need one to unlock it.

I also don't think having multiple Spyro characters will add more to the magic stat only having all four magic characters would do that.

Someone also mentioned that the max out stats within the game are different.
Meaning, how the programming handles stats internally.

Haven't even looked at heroic challenges yet, is there one for each skylander?
