It feels more like they tried to copy the original 3 games rather than make a new game.

Yeah, pretty much, the only addition was to have lots of glitches, how cool is that!?

I wouldnt call it copying. I'd say it was based on the original 3. If they had copied it, it might have been a better game... smilie

Totally. I didn't feel original at all. That's part of why I loved AHT, which was all new and stuff - this was just the same as the first three but badly made.

i would complain about how much i would rather have a game that's a copy of the originals than getting one that's nothing like it, but i'm not going to bother

It was originally going to be a better game and be based of the 'Gnasty and Ripto talk about the 'Spyro problem'' that was in the epilogue in YotD. Gnasty was going to be in it, there was going to be much more levels and dragonflies but it never got finished.
