I am still pretty new here, I recently went back and read some old posts and started playing some old Spyro games.

Spyro looks:
I really don't get it? Why do people not like the new look Skylanders Spyro, is he starting to grow on you yet? I do not think he looks like a gremlin? I like the red in his eyes!
Think he looks amazing now! The last few games he kinda looked chubby and had stupid looks on his face? If you go way back he looked way too cute, like a baby Dragon!
Is it just a case of liking the Classics better? Like I know for me I really do not like the new Star Wars movies, much prefer the original trilogy. Is it something like that?

Cynder's fans:
What is the deal with her??? Is it you love her or hate her kinda of thing? She seems really cool!!! Maybe I am not familiar with all the lore of the franchise?

Just wondering if you guys can shed some light on some of these things? Everyone seems to have an opinion but nobody really explains it.

I think the problem was that fanboys (rather, more likely fangirls) were expecting more of the Legend of Spyro series games, so when Skylanders was revealed, along with a radically different appearance of Spyro, naturally there arose a lot of people who were really ticked off.

It's mainly little kids whining about something, but it gained a lot of momentum because they started to appear everywhere. Of course, it did virtually nothing and the game has done really well.

The same went for when Cynder was announced; people suddenly did a 180 and were all "omg, best game evah". Just shows you that there's a lot of fickle people in the fandom.

Personally, I think the new look is fitting. Spyro has always been a dragon, and that what he looks more like here. No offense to those that really love TLoS series, but at the end, it felt like they were just pandering to furries and I don't particularly care for that. (Although, I absolutely would have loved for Elijah Wood to voice him in Skylanders) Same with Cynder, they look fine. It's just another interpretation of the characters which is pretty cool.

And if it's really such a problem, just treat this Spyro as an alternate universe Spyro.

I personally quite like Spyro's new look, I just think people dont like change especially when it comes to something like Spyro. But they cant keep making th same spyro games over and over again. (Although they do with Pokemon and Call of Duty.)

And I dont like Cynder THAT much because I think her charatcer is extremly overrated. But apart from that I think she is pretty cool. Its just the fans I dont like.

This coming from someone who thought TLoS was a disgrace to the fandom. All imo.

I actually prefer Spyro in Skylanders to the one we had in LoS. Classic is still my absolute favorite, but I really love Skylander Spyro too. I think he looks adorable, from the very minute he was first announced. But I also knew the fans would hate it

As for Cynder, well, she was overrated (IMHO) in previous games. She had a rather bland personality in DotD, but her fans are what really drive some people to hate on her. In Skylanders, I actually think she looks a look better than before (excluding evil!Cynder in ANB, which is my favorite rendition of her).

I think Spyro does actually look quite cute in this game, originally I thought he was ugly, but then he started to grow on me. He's also pretty fun to draw... And Cynder looks more like her Krome games, which is good,
