Well, I don't care about the price cuz I don't plan to buy it from ebay. I'm just glad I could finally get the chance to see what the packing looks like.

this really really makes sense now. the video that was posted the other day with the empire of ice level and slambam, someone just got it really early.
now heres the real question.. when will it be coming out? will it trickle release to stores starting on the 16th? will it take till the end of January or later before we start seeing it? everybody go to the store everyday now and report back when you do find it

and OMG I REALLY WANT IT I CANT WAIT I HATE WAITING AHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. (sorry i just had to get that out)

i guess someone that is on the wiki team project of skylanders have hacked the game or got it early...

One interesting thing to note is that it appears now that Slam Bam is transparent blue instead of solid blue. The Skylanders main site still shows the toys main body as solid blue...hmmmmm.

I noticed that too, and no other skylanders are/will be transparent but maybe it was a last second decision??

That's why I keep saying on their Facebook page, that they werr probably just made. The shortage of Skylanders, comes from the fact, they were probably too scared to make more than two waves. Incase the game flopped, they wouldn't be out much money.

If you also notice, Slam Bam has a different pose as well.

If you look at the toy in packaging, his lower-right fist is closer to his open hand. Naturally he is also seethrough, whereas the original toy (which you can even see in commercials) isn't.

Not the pose, but it seems like the "real" one is a bit darker than his official figure pic...

lol I can't tell a lie I actually like the solid version better. Also in regards to the pose, it's hard to tell since he's sideways in the pack but the pose does seem different as well. The solid version seems to be leaning where as the transparent one seems to be standing straight. I'm sure I'll like him more once he's in my hands but I gotta throw a little love out to the original solid version....gasp dare I say that the transparent version might be rare. Oh crap aren't they introducing the new transparent blue versions of certain figs. in wave 3?

Huh. Looks like he's made of the same transparent stuff that the Water base is. That's kinda cool. Maybe he's like made out of ice or something.


For anyone looking, most of these seem to be from CA, which means the shipments are more than likely going to be moving across the US from the West to the East coast.

True, but as long as employees know these are worth money, as well as scalpers, it will be insanely hard for us to grab them.

Ah see your first mistake is associating scalpers with ethics...they have none. It's also a common practice and has been for a long time. Back in the day when I worked for Target an associate used to hold back on putting out the new cases of Hot Wheels and Star Wars figures until his friendly neighborhood scalper came by. The scalper would slip him a $20 and the associate would hand him the case to go through and get first dibs on. I'm sure similar practices still occur and it still sickens me just as much as it did then.

Did you report it to the store manager, or did you just sit back? It's up to you to report this kind of behavior to someone in a position of authority so that it will stop. Get the pimple-faced booger-eater fired and let him flip burgers to earn his money.

Sad but true I think some of us are gonna have to get in on that aswell i'd pay 20 bucks to get first dibs on the box. But i woudent sell them for triple the price i couldent sleep at night ripping people off that much. And that is probably why we arent seeing any new ones the scalpers took them all LOL

Well this was 16 years ago but I did tell him that crap has to stop and to my knowledge it did. It may have started back up again after I left since he was there longer then I was but I did let my replacement know and that put a little fear in the guy. I do also know he was transferred out of toys shortly after I left.

and now we only need dragons peak..

You would probably need more then 20 bucks now a days more like 50.

I like the transparent blue that the released figure shows.

Dragon's Peak I'm afraid still isn't out. They just are advertising it for when it is released. I really wish I was wrong though.
