Has anyone figured out a way to force anti aliasing for Skylanders on PC? I have a pretty good rig and I hate jaggys in my games. I know sometimes you can for this in the config file but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.

i dont think you can force it, its a game made for the wii and multi-platform.. so the quality will never be up to 'skyrim' or other pc games standards. only thing you can do is set resolution and other option to max.

Well I know you can force the AA in games like SWTOR by forcing AA on in the config or .ini file. The game itself doesn't have an AA option yet if you force it on in the file it turns it on in game. I thought the game would at least look as good as the PS3 version but it doesn't look like that's the case. Any others have any suggestions?

^What this guy said.
Sonic Generations on the PC doesn't have an AA option (has AA, obviously, but it's not legally modifiable), but it can be forced, like so. Doing this, however, causes graphical glitches when done with most graphics cards, such as: -No HUD. -Invisible Menus. -Many Special Effects (the light effect when Sonic jumps, the Homing Attack trail, etc) are missing. -Though not demonstrated in this video, certain textures will glitch up too, and some will even start to "animate". I can't say whether or not glitches like this would happen on Skylanders, as it depends on certain factors. And before anyone whines about me being off topic, I'm not. I'm just giving an example of a game with forced AA, so people will know that forcing AA in Skylanders may provide unexpected results. And I've played Sonic Generations on PC, and own it on PS3, so I know what the differences are. The same things may not happen in Skylanders, but it could present other kinds of glitches, depending on certain factors.

Any thoughts on how to actually force the settings in Skylanders? I can't find a Config. or Client Settings file to even experiment with.

if not there, there ain't any.... when it comes to picture quality you should also think about this.. the ps3 give you a 1920x1080, your pc gives you a 1280x1024 (or higher??)... the tv can give you a blur effect, the pc gives you a more true clear picture quality (more clear picture quality=jaggies more easily spotted). |

I'm running Skylanders on my pc @ 1980 X 1080. I'm also now getting frame rate issues when running on high on certain levels and that doesn't make any since. Also the overall texture quality seems to have been matched to the Wii instead of the Xbox/PS3 which again confuses me. My comp has a quad 2.93 AMD Phenom 2 840T and my video card is an Nvidia 460. I can run Dragon Age 1 & 2, WoW, SWTOR, Rift, Starcraft 2 and several. others at max settings and not have any issues. It makes no since that this game would have performance issues given how crappy it looks. |

try set it at 1280x1024 and see if you have issue with slow downs on them levels, if none... then its either your pc or gfx card(probably the gfx card)... and the other issue is that this game is a port from the wii to your pc...

Changing the Graphics level to Medium fixed the slow down (don't know why) but it visually doesn't look any different from high.... I am going to need to pick up an Xbox 360 controller though. The keyboard controls suck lol. |

Doubt it's my card since I can run higher demanding games at much higher settings without an issue. Thanks for the PS3 pad software link but I only have a sixaxis and not a DS3and it's not reading the sticks. I think I'm just going to pick up a 360 controller since they have auto functionality with Windows. Thanks any way. |

if not your gfx card, then bad optimized code, its a port from wii to pc after all.. and by the way that software have 'Fully functional SixAxis support.'... so you can use/save that money for a new skylanders toy. this software are just one of many, just google and you find more of the same out there...

I couple of months ago in an issue of PC Gamer magazine I read about a free, indie-developed program which boosts the graphics of certain games by adding things like anti-aliasing and bloom to games that otherwise wouldn't have them. I remember that this program doesn't cause any glitches in the games besides more strain on your CPU because it doesn't add the effects by interfering with any config files or anything similar, instead it works by taking what would normally be shown on screen and simply adding a seperately-processed "layer" of graphics on top to give the effect of better graphics.
I'm afraid I have no idea what this program was called nor what issue of the magazine I saw it in, but do some Googling and you might find it.
